"Chanced upon Adam's cafe when we were in the Halifax borough market early on Saturday. Fancied an English brekkie and the cafe has an interesting set up as it's at the sloping bit of the market, so the tables are on steps and it looked...nice and clean so we went in. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Ordered a standard and a large brekkie and they both came with sausages, bacon, egg(s), tomatoes, beans and toast as well as coffee or tea. I added some hash browns to mine and both brekkies came to The brekkies were cooked fresh to order and really nicely displayed. Bacon was nice and browned rather than pale like we have had in some places. Sausages were cooked well and didn't taste mushy and cheap like in some other cafes we have tried. Toast slices were also nice, thick and soft. Only minor criticisms are the lack of hash browns in the standard and large brekkies there didn't seem to be an altenative choice for tea/coffee. The coffee was also of the instant variety. Overall, we really enjoyed the breakfast which was really food quality for the price. Defo recommended and we won't hesitate to return to Adam's if we are visiting again. The lunch offerings at also looked tempting but we were too full after breakfast to have anything at lunchtime so maybe next time!!"

I stopped in for a quick drink before meeting a friend. The staff was friendly and the café was clean. There were plenty of food options on the menu, with specials like tea or coffee for £4.75 and kids meals with a soft drink for £2.75.

Good little cafe for breakfast and cheap eats. Coffee a bit dire, but the all day breakfast was excellent, generous and tasty for a really good price. Order at counter and the meal is brought to the table, fast service by a pleasant waitress.

We go now every week to Adams because the food is top quality at a very reasonable price and the staff are very friendly indeed. We have also got to meet some very nice people there who we see every week, which shows that they...are of the same opinion as we are. View menu

We go to Adams cafe every Friday and have done for many years now. The choice of food is enormous. Everything from a sandwich to a full meal.I have tried just about everything on the menu and can say that I have never been disappointed....The staff are really friendly and the prices are really really acceptable. A visit is highly recommended, you will be going back regularly.

The food for the money you pay is quite good. A roast lunch for under a fiver. Nice friendly staff. Only complaint is that although the average age of the customers is over they have fairly loud modern music blaring out of a speaker....If we can't find a table near the counter we don't eat there because of the speaker. The staff are young so I guess the music is for their benefit.Shame otherwise it would be perfect.

"After using cinnamon spice for many years, last nights service was appalling. 4 hour wait for a curry ordered at 6pm via their website paid for in advance. Many calls during the evening and reassurance given even at 7.30pm informed it was being cooked clearly incorrect misleading information. After an evening of multiple calls to the restaurant having the phone just ringing out, calls cancelled and text messages unanswered I did speak to the restaurant at 10pm they still were giving excuses the curry was being cooked totally unacceptable. A family evening spoilt without even the courtesy to call us and inform us of a 4 hour delay. I dread to think of people who ordered after 6pm when or if their food arrived or was it just ours that was forgotten. The restaurant should not accept orders they cannot deliver in a timely manner and if a delay is above the informed time of delivery the customer should be informed at least then giving us the option of sourcing the families evening meal elsewhere. We are still awaiting a refund which was not processed last night as promised, again very disappointing when the money is taken out if the bank immediately refunds should also be prompt. A family evening ruined by incompetent organisation of a takeaway service which surely was anticipated to be busy, even more disappointing as the food us usually very good but significantly let down by the operational management."
