Good food, excellent beers, Great people, Great service, Good location. I have not been very recently there, but this restaurant /bar was good over decades. Highly recommended.

Das Alcazar ist ein Kölner Standard im besten Sinn, legendär zu Karneval. Es ist, als ob sich alles, was gut ist, vom Alcazar ableitet Die Küche und das Presleistungvsverhältni. ist hervorragend. Ob Salat, Pasta oder Filet. Alles ist in gleichbleibender Qualität. Wir essen immer Salat, aber auch Nudeln -

Being a local this should be the sort of place I love but I'm not 100% sold. It's a typical hand written (German handwriting is appalling) menu that always changes. The staff are surprisingly friendly for this part of Germany and considering they're actually German. I wasn't that impressed with my food. If you're in this area there's much nicer places to eat.

For 23 years the quality of food has been absolutely... The mood, before all Fridays at the highest party level... Prices unexpectedly cheap... a tip for many years. If I'm still in Belg. Quarter lived, it was my regular pub, at least 1 x a week I still have to go there. Carnival breaks the shop almost apart... It's a shame you can't smoke anymore... some nice smokers aren't here anymore.

Ich bin eher zufällig rein, suchte noch schnell einen Mittagstisch. Lokal war gut besucht. Auf dem Tisch lag eine Tages/Mittagskarte. Hab mich für was einfaches entschieden, Spagetti mit Pesto. Beim Essen war noch ein frischer Beilagensalat dabei und frisch geriebener Käse. Es war alles gut, nicht verkocht und frisch. Der Preis war auch gut, 7,50€. Hab noch ein Böll-Kölsch getrunken und war mit 10€, inkl. Trinkgeld gut bedient. Bedienungen/Barkeeper waren beide sehr freundlich und auf Zack. Werde wieder kommen.Eins noch, es war wirklich mal schön kein Standard Kölsch wie Gaffel zu trinken!!!

This is exactly the sort of dining I love. We stumbled upon it by accident, hungry and slightly late on a warm Friday night as the Belgian Quarter was in full swing and eating places were worrying full. Very unpretentious bar with bare wood communal tables, the very helpful server tallied our orders on a beer coaster and helped us to decipher the handwritten menu. I had a Pot aux Feux which looked very plain, vegetables and meat in a clear broth. But the flavours were sensational! Someone in that small kitchen was well tutored by their Grandmama! Happy, happy eating, I would go back in a heartbeat
