"Very occasional visitors to ROH we again ate at The Amphitheatre Restaurant and this proved even better on this occasion given the length of Die Meistersinger. The food was very good but the star of the evening was the service in general and our waiter in particular. It felt (and appeared) that nothing was too much trouble with the service crisp and efficient but very friendly. Juggling the undoubtedly demanding clientele, timings of the food spread out over intervals etc. was done skilfully and cheerfully. And given the cost of everything else at ROH, the price was not unreasonable.Absolutely the best option if you are looking at a special evening out."

Good food in unique location. Given situation and service is good value. Spread meal over performance intervals. Short menu with veggie options.

The three course set menu costs £50 and is excellent. The waiting staff are super friendly and super efficient. The lemon sole is huge and the creme caramel superb. Highly recommended.

Never realised that in the corner of Covent Gardens is a door leading to the ROH. My wife led me to the restaurant, and we were both in need of a good cup of tea. Service was prompt. Though we didn't eat, the food certainly looked good.

In fact the service is almost too quick. The extensive refurbishment in the theatre has led to a lot of changes. The amphitheatre level is much affected so be prepared if you haven’t visited for a while. Despite the fast service, the food is ever reliable.

We opted to pre book from the menu and this worked really well for us as we had a relaxed meal before the show. You are able to choose courses before the and in the interval. This works well if you do starter and main before the show as the interval is 25 mins. Food was to die for, service could not be faulted either. It was pretty expensive, but for a special occasion it was worth every penny! View menu

We booked this restaurant to enjoy a pre ballet meal at the Opera House, our food was preordered as my wife is vegan this service is always available. On arrival we were sat a a table with a view of the piazza and the skyline of Covent Garden. All three courses, both mine and my wife's vegan options were beautiful in flavour and presentation. The service was faultless and the mixed programme of ballet superb a wonderful evening

A cool bar and great staff sadly i cannot think of anything to make it stand out as a must go spot. You 're on a rooftop so there is some good sights, however nothing that makes you say 'wow. ' The prices are a bit high, which i think it because of the location. The balcony does have limited seating which means you may have to stand a bit until a table opens up. The staff was very nice, helpful, and did make good cocktails. Worth checking but don 't fret if you miss it.
