"Very occasional visitors to ROH we again ate at The Amphitheatre Restaurant and this proved even better on this occasion given the length of Die Meistersinger. The food was very good but the star of the evening was the service in general and our waiter in particular. It felt (and appeared) that nothing was too much trouble with the service crisp and efficient but very friendly. Juggling the undoubtedly demanding clientele, timings of the food spread out over intervals etc. was done skilfully and cheerfully. And given the cost of everything else at ROH, the price was not unreasonable.Absolutely the best option if you are looking at a special evening out."

Good food in unique location. Given situation and service is good value. Spread meal over performance intervals. Short menu with veggie options.

Ambience, staff, food , wine and venue all well put together A perfect evening combined with the opera house and La Boheme performance. pricey but well worth it

This is a busy place, and serves drinks and snacks before curtain up and during intervals of performances. Staff are personable and keen. Not cheap but good quality

In fact the service is almost too quick. The extensive refurbishment in the theatre has led to a lot of changes. The amphitheatre level is much affected so be prepared if you haven’t visited for a while. Despite the fast service, the food is ever reliable.

I was sceptical about having a three course meal split over intervals at the ROH but they are very efficient and do it really well. What is more, the food is actually very good and the waitresses are very committed to ensuring everyone gets the most out of the evening.

We went to see Meistersingers from Nuremberg yesterday and hoped to eat in the Crush Bar which turned out to be completely full. We wandered up to the Amphitheatre and found a table for two. My wife had Sea Bass and I had Steak both of which were excellent as were the vegetables. We had fruit wine and coffee and although it wasn't cheap I would certainly book a table there again View menu

We opted to pre book from the menu and this worked really well for us as we had a relaxed meal before the show. You are able to choose courses before the and in the interval. This works well if you do starter and main before the show as the interval is 25 mins. Food was to die for, service could not be faulted either. It was pretty expensive, but for a special occasion it was worth every penny!

We booked this restaurant to enjoy a pre ballet meal at the Opera House, our food was preordered as my wife is vegan this service is always available. On arrival we were sat a a table with a view of the piazza and the skyline of Covent Garden. All three courses, both mine and my wife's vegan options were beautiful in flavour and presentation. The service was faultless and the mixed programme of ballet superb a wonderful evening
