"My friend and I went here for Afternoon Tea today, after reading bad reviews last night i was concerned. We were greeted by a nice gentleman on reception who showed us to the table. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and overlooks the garden. We were offered tea or coffee, there were pretty bone china cups, saucers and plates set out on the table. The afternoon tea was beautifully presented with a selection of 4 different sandwich fillings, the bread was extremely fresh. There were homemade sausage rolls and a slice quiche. The scones and cakes were all homemade and were as follows, chocolate brownies, lemon drizzle cake, carrot cake,Victoria sponge, macarons and scones with jam and clotted cream. The gentleman who served the tea explained each cake. We had a really relaxing afternoon and i would thoroughly recommend....we will definitely be returning!"

Best meal out in years. Excellent Sunday Roast with great service. Impeccably clean. Great team and lovely ambience. Beautiful gardens. Well done.

This venue was absolutely perfect for our wedding reception. Kayleigh and her team took excellent care of all 60 guests and the food was outstanding. The accommodations were also top-notch. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely staff , friendly and informative . Beautiful hotel. Faultless food. All in all a great experience . Room was a superior luxury room. Cosy and warm. Good shower and bath. Very clean . Hairdryer in room . Tea coffee etc. A great stay. We didn’t use the pool or spa treatment's and gym though. View menu

Celebration of a 90th birthday with a tea party. The food was lovely but the service was awful. Tea and coffee on the table before we arrived so stewed. Only 1 waitress who was very slow to replenish tea and coffee. Did this once and then disappeared altogether. Birthday cake was left for the hostess or her guests to cut up.

We had a voucher for afternoon tea given by friends as it was a 50th wedding anniversary present. Our friends carefully researched hotels in our neighbourhood who could cater for our needs as my husband is in a wheelchair,we are both vegetarians and my husband has a nut allergy.Angmering Manor catered for us perfectly. The chef prepared food for us specially and it was all truly delicious. The staff were all friendly and very helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this venue for a memorable afternoon tea.

We a booked a family and we were very disappointed as it was dark, small, cramped and NOT value for money. We had to ask for a third towel and you had to navigate the pull out bed to get to the toilet. In the gym, no equipment was working on the Saturday. Breakfast was very disappointing the orange juice was poor quality, the mushrooms not fresh and I ordered eggs Benedict which was covered in a thick/excessive hollandaise sauce. We had made a reservation for dinner, but we cancelled on the recommendation of a local couple and went to the Lamb which served fantastic fresh food. View menu

We booked for a swing and soul night. The singer was amazing. Our table unfortunately was the worst in the venue we were the only table who could not see the entertainment!! We had booked several weeks in advance but that obviously didn't help. The food was very good. The service was friendly and fast but lacking in certain aspects. We didn't get asked if we wanted water for the table and had to ask for it. Also we had to ask twice for salt and pepper. No sauces were offered with our meals ie mint or apple. We also had to chase up each time we wanted another round of drinks. So, some improvements could be made. Overall a good evening but do not settle for table number 1 !!

The hotel is inviting, charismatic and the smell of open fires is just lovely on a cold wet night. The dining room delightful. And sadly that’s as far as it goes for the positives. Firstly, the ladies on duty weren’t attentive in anyway, no greeting and no one enquired if any of us had allergies, and we had a Celiac dining. We had no water on the table. Our mains were nothing more than okay, and our desserts disappointing having to return 2 dishes as they were stone cold, sticky toffee pudding straight from the fridge is very unpleasant! Our plates whipped away and we thought we were ordering coffees, only to have our bill presented and told to pay on the way out! Such a shame as this establ...

"Went with my partner who’d been here a good few years before and had fond memories of it. It’s changed! I was told on the phone it was advisable to book, I have no idea why as it was practically empty. We were pretty much ignored when we got there by an older woman behind the bar but hoped it would get better. The elderly woman on another table went off to find her own pepper so I should’ve known then. We ordered drinks and one pint of flat coke later we asked to send it back, I was told it was indeed real Coke by the sullen looking waitress wearing cycling shorts. She then admitted it wasn’t real Coke and did he want a bottle of that. We were waiting so long for our food that dirty glasses were accumulating on the table and at one point we put them up on the window sill. Then noticed a dirty big stain on the table cloth and a candle holder with old wax in but no candle left there on the table. We asked how much longer the food was going to be as we both had work in the morning and it turned upafter 60 minutes and I wish we’d have left 20 minutes earlier when we’d thought of doing so. When it came it was a shock to see the £27 sirloin steak. Over priced and average at best. We had to ask the waitress ‘can you please take all these dirty glasses while we eat?’ The meal was already ruined and our evening out spoiled not by the food but by the shoddy way we were treated from start to finish. Even the lemon had to be sent back! No juice, fell away from the skin into mush so god knows how long that’d been there. Apparently she needed to tell the chef but brought back more of the same. We had to quibble the bill afterwards as the pint of flat cola syrup sent back was still on there. The manageress or whatever her job title is should be embarrassed at how customers are treated but unfortunately it was obvious she didn’t care and no apology given and she treated us exactly the same. If o was on my own I wouldn’t have paid so they’re lucky we did. It was one thing after another. We came home feeling like we’d been taken advantage of and I wish I’d said more at the time. I don’t usually leave bad reviews, I chalk it up to experience and move on so you can imagine how bad it was. If you like fawlty towers you may enjoy this farce but we’ll put this down to one place we’ll never go back to and will NEVER recommend. Joke of a place. What a shame."
