"Just needed to get away from the day to day and chill. Stumbled across the Bathurst Arms with a lucky google search. First impression, ‘wow,’ it’s big baby pink character rich building. Fair to say from the moment we walked through the door until the time we left, we had nothing other than an amazing time. Special thanks to Jasmine and every member of the team who all went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant and stress free as possible. Food was great, you’ve got to try the Korean sesame-fried chicken burger, Asian slaw, skin-on chips, was definitely my go to dish and never disappointed. In fact, every dish we tried was superb. Thanks Gareth you certainly know how to knock up some great food, Chef being the unsung hero operating behind closed doors but your food certainly spoke for itself and it was obvious that you are passionate about what you do. Our room was a good size, bed was really comfortable and was a great place to spend the night. Also fair to say the beer was cracking so hats off to the cellar man, good selection of wines so the Mrs was very happy, at times maybe a little too happy :0) only playing but hey our plan was to chill to get away from the day to day, mission accomplished. We’ll definitely be back, Thank You to everyone that made us feel as though we were part of the extended Bathurst family. PS,, the locals are proper nuts but in a really good kind of way"

The restaurant has been under new ownership for one year, and the owners are incredibly friendly.

I would not eat here again. Totally over cooked the fish and prawns. Sausages are poor quality for an area where you would expect local produce and awful gravy!

Under new management so ignore all old reviews.....so impressed. We had a delightful easy relaxed meal for a large group on 21st December. We pre ordered without fuss. Food was excellent, service was kind and personal. Faultless. And good value for money.

I had a wonderful Sunday roast at the Bathurst Arms. The starter was not as impressive as described, but the roast beef was fantastic with a thick slice of beef. The desserts were also delicious, although I wish there was more cake with my cheese and honey. Overall, it was a tasty meal and I would definitely return to this restaurant.

Came with a group of 8 ladies quite a strange experience, we were asked to pre order as they were so busy, this wasn't a problem but it was difficult to establish which menu was actually OK to use off the website as the menu we used was apparently not available so it needed several phone calls to get the order right and we could use the original menu but not with the drinks included as on the menu as it was Christmas, all confusing. We actually turned out to be the only people eating in the bar area, not sure if there was another eating area but staff didn't seem too busy. Food was very nice, although soup half a slice of Welsh rarebit pricey at £11 , Ham egg chips very good and worth the pr...

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
