"Tucked away just south of Niort this auberge is in a lovely setting and the food was gorgeous. We turned up just after 19:30 on a Wednesday evening and the place looked deserted. We were the first arrivals and therefore finding a table for the 5 of us wasn't a problem. The greeting and service was warm and our French and the staffs English was good enough for us to be understood.I had the mackerel fillets for starter followed by the Pave de meagre. Others in the group went for the pate de campagne and the Maigret de canard.Everyone only had nice things NHS to say about the food. One of the party was not yet 3 years old and they catered for him very well also. For reference there are two cats who frequent the dining area. They keep themselves away from diners but I know some people suffer from allergies.Desserts were just as good as the other two courses. We are certainly keeping the details for when we are in the area again."

Near Niort en route to St Jean, this hard to find old mansion is tucked into a lovely park setting and for us,the most delightful part of the evening on the summer terrace was watching a bunch of six or more Red Squirrels at play.So rare...since their virtual eclipse by the greys. The food was excellent value and the service rapid and smiley.Room was old fashioned but comfortable, and breakfast coffee the best of our whole trip. A good overnighter or long lunch stop. We went back the same week for a meal and enjoyed it though the squirrels were asleep!

close to niort en route after st jean, this difficult to find old villa is fucked in a beautiful park and for us, the most beautiful part of the evening on the summer terrace observed a bundle of six or more red squirrels to play. so rare...by making her virtual darkness through the gray. the food was excellent and the service fast and smiling. room was old-fashioned, but comfortable, and breakfast coffee the best of our whole trip. a good overnight or a long lunch break. we went back to a meal in the same week and enjoyed it, although the corpses slept! this guest house is beautifully located in the country with a plentiful parking close to. we chose the fixed price menu. the selection is limited, but we found our meal times to be pretty tasty and well presented. for a plate, my man had a filet of fish. on slightly boiled spinach with home made chunky mashed carrots plus dice boiled carrots. I found the same carrots and carrots, but they were covered with calf. we shared a dessert recommended by the waitress. the dining room is rustic and charming; the tables had flower leaves, the color of serviettes, a beautiful note. the restroom was very clean. price a good value.

This inn is beautifully located in the country with an ample parking lot nearby. We chose the fixed price menu. Choices are limited but we found our meals to be quite delicious and well presented. For a plat, my husband had a filet of fish on lightly cooked spinach with home-made chunky mashed potatoes plus cubed cooked carrots. I found the same potatoes and carrots but they were topped with veal. We shared a dessert recommended by the waitress. The dining room is rustic and charming; the tables had flower petals that matched the color of the napkins, a nice touch. Restroom was very clean. Reasonably price--a good value.

A y revenir à plusieurs ;)"
