"I found this restaurant to be just what we were looking for, It is relaxed, friendly, good food and wine, service with a smile and the owner seems totally calm even with the number of people that turn up. We ate outside but one can eat inside. We so enjoyed the ambience that we had a second meal there. Our tip would be.....Arrive, enjoy the food, relax and watch the night arrive with delicious food, a glass of wine in hand and perhaps even, end the evening with an irish coffee or a brandy. Fabulous. Thank you."

I look forward to a few meals here every year -- especially the duck confit, which is the best around. Simple good food, friendly service, good prices.

Sam's restaurant is one of my favorite places in Lauzerte and possibly in the Sud Ouest. If you have not tried Auberge Des Carmes you should, her confit de canard is well, unforgettable.

Very busy evening but it was so nice to not be rushed having dinner.Excellent veggie galette; enormous cheese salad and beautifully cooked fish. What more could you ask for. Good wine, nice food and wide choice of desserts. What a nice evening. Not visited for several weeks must go more frequently.

What a great piece of luck to stumble upon this restaurant and have one of the regular customers recommend the veal "schnitzel". We haven't had white veal for around twenty years and this was as good as it gets. Accompanied by frites and a crisp salad it was "to die for". The rose was pretty good and chilled to perfection.

We have been here many times, as a couple and with small or large groups and it has been good every time. The basically local food is done well and a good price. Duck and steaks seem to be the best choice, but my vegetarian salad is just as great.Downside only that they do not take any cards for payment and the menu does not change.

Had a great family meal there last night. The food was delicious and sufficient even for my sons! Very relaxed atmosphere and somewhere we all felt comfortable whiling the way the time with a great combination of food and wine, very reasonably priced. The crepes were a particular favourite along with the wonderfully made Irish Cofffees. Will definitely. E going back

Ate here on a September evening. Warm enough to sit outside. Food is plentiful and well cooked. Generally the menu is based on local specialities especially duck. When the owner was there service was great but when she popped out for a while it deteriorated somewhat. That said we had an enjoyable tasty meal. Just be aware that cards are not accepted. Payment is cash or French cheque.

We stopped here for a meal on a whim and the fact it looked to be full of locals having a good meal. But although the cooking was OK and the salad i had was nice enough, the overall standard of the place was low, from the limited menu (except for the salads) which basically was duck in a million forms, the filthy and unkempt toilet and the gum chewing waitress. Eat elsewhere if you can!

This is a family business. The owner is called Sam and she runs this from A to Z. Not only she works in the kitchen, she also take orders and take good care of her guests. This is not a fine dining restaurant but it is perfect for lunch or dinner as it offers local products and great value for money. All in one it is SUPERBE!!! Make sure to stop by if you are looking for a place to it for lunch, dinner or even for a dessert or an ice cream... :)
