"We rolled up in Fleurie, hungry and with no idea where to eat. We saw this restaurant on the corner opposite the square and, after looking inside, taking a deep breath and convincing ourselves it would have to do we entered. It was a weekday lunch time and the restaurant was quite full, populated by what appeared to be the local elderly population! The internal appearance of the restaurant was a little off putting - mis matched and dated is probably a fair description. However, that's where any possible disappointment could end. A great priced set lunch menu was on offer. The lady serving was charming. The food, quite frankly, was top notch (looked and tasted like something out of a top class restaurant). We got an amuse bouche to boot. This really was surprising stuff. The wine list was good. We were not rushed. The bill was very modest (we would have quite happily paid double for what we were served). We will be returning to Fleurie in the autumn and will be booking ahead this time to make sure we don't miss out!!"

Zeer lekker, een gewaagde combinatie van smaken. Zeker prijs/kwaliteit. Eenvoudig en vriendelijk personeel. Rustige sfeer.

Prijs kwaliteit is prima.

View menu

Had lunch from one of the set menu choices - what a treat! Amuse Bouche, starter, main, cheese and pudding all equally delicious. Some quirky twists with the food. Service leisurely and attentive, just right. Well worth a detour or a special trip.

Quality of the food was excellent. The interior decoration of the restaurant is not my style and is confusing. Some tables have linen cloths others have not,..... Refurbishment is needed, make it more simple, go for a bistronomy style decoration that fits your cuisine. The speed of the service needs to be improved. We took a menu of four courses and it took us almost 2hours before we got our main course. Probably the best place to eat in Fleurie.

We had visited this restaurant a few years ago before this new management. Our visit for dinner was truly memorable and the chef and staff didn't put a foot wrong. Stylish decor, good choice and faultless cooking. It was a Wednesday evening, but it was full and deservedly so. Every course, we ordered separate menus, was beautifully presented and delicately flavoured. Both of us ordered the soufflé for pudding, a difficult thing to get right - it was fabulous, the best I have tasted. Our wine was so good that we visited the vineyard to buy next day. It was sold out, but prices showed a very small mark up. All in all, a great find, it deserves to do well! Would highly recommend!
