"We stopped with our motorcycles by chance, a Monday holiday, at more than 14h... And there, we fall on Denis, a restaurant and chocolate maker passionate about his condition, a super nice guy, coming, simple, a magnificent setting, a magical shaded terrace... No, we haven't eaten in his establishment... 20 minutes before, we had played security and had lunch in a restaurant with a kitchen that was just as much... poor of us! If we knew... And in addition, he was still serving this hour! We consoled ourselves with its delicious domestic lemonades (lemon, grapefruit,... and for sure, we will return! Friends bikers (and all others, run to restore and spend a good time at the Auberge du Prieuré !!!!"

The meal was good, but too many choices of menu that are similar, we had a booklet with menus offered and in addition a slate with 2 menus, we lost it.

This is a charming country restaurant with excellent, basic offerings and friendly service. It was lovely to dine on the terrace, with the beautiful medieval church just down the road. The menu of the day that I took was escargots, a pièce de boeuf (done correctly rare as I asked), frites, and a delicious and generous tiramisu. Everything most satisfying.

This auberge is located diagonally across the street in this tiny village from the beautiful church and abbey. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in town for lunch or dinner. The food was quite good for a small town in rural France. My wife and I both had the special for the day, which was a salad, steak, and potatoes. Nothing exotic to be sure, but well executed and served with a smile and charm. The owners have a rather large basset hound who goes from table to table, forlornly looking at diners for a handout. We asked, but were told we shouldn't feed the sad-eyed beast. Judging from his size, that probably was the best advice. I would definitely return. Highly recommended.
