"We arrived at 1:30 PM on Saturday for a late lunch and found the restaurant nearly empty. We ordered the small fish and chips, a burger, a steak pie, and the mixed grill. The meals were delicious—the fish was fresh, and the burger was juicy. The steak pie was generous with the meat, and the mixed grill was enjoyable as well. One minor area for improvement would be the chips, which could have been crispier. Overall, I would rate the service as a 5 and the location as a 5."

"We made a reservation for a table on Wednesday for the upcoming Saturday, but when we arrived it was clear that our booking had not been recorded by the staff. Despite this, they told us to sit down and said they would deal with it later. The staff hovered around our table without offering to take drink orders, so we had to request them ourselves. We were then rushed to place a food order suddenly. Throughout our meal, the staff stared at us and loomed over us, which made the experience very uncomfortable. Towards the end of our meal, while one of us was still eating, they began clearing our plates. We were handed the bill without being asked if we wanted hot drinks or desserts, and when we sent it back, we were confronted by a rude staff member who informed us that another party had been waiting in the pub next door for an hour. He stated that it was their busiest time of year and that we had overstayed our welcome. We had arrived at 7 pm and it was now 9 pm; never before had we been rushed out of a restaurant in such a manner. We had not been informed when booking or upon arrival that our table was only available for a limited time. When we asked to take some of our leftover dishes home, they were thrown together in one container. The issue with Yash lies in their service, which has been problematic for some time but never to this extent. The food was good but the service was terrible. Considering we had paid nearly £200, it was absolutely disgraceful."

"Just eaten at the White Horse thinking that under the same ownership as the King William at Scaftworth it would be something special… How wrong could I have been the Steak Pie was obviously not home made (and bought in looked like a Puka Pie and tasted about the same) certainty not as shown in pictures here on Facebook and Trip adviser, the White Horse burger was like a meatball sandwich with two tiny burgers that resembled table tennis balls and the Blackened Cajun Burger was dry. The whole meal was totally underwhelming and over priced and to add insult to injury they added 10% service charge to the total. I want go into anaemic fry’s etc. It really was a letdown and especially for a family celebration. Save to say I will not be going for a return visit and it’s not a patch on the King William. 1 out of 10 and that’s only because the girls who served us did their best under the embarrassment of the poor food."

"A very welcoming Bar/restaurant in a beautiful location with easy access. There is a lovely selection of foods and drinks available that are very reasonably priced. The tables are set far enough apart for you to have your privacy and leave enough room for wheelchair and mobility access. The staff are warm and welcoming, they can't do enough for you. It is very clean and well maintained. You will also find a variety of social activities here from live bands, weekly quizzes and events such as a Halloween party which is upcoming!! Highly recommended. One of the best in the area in my opinion by far. Kid-friendliness: Very child friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible"
