"Last night the girls and I went to dinner in bakery, a broth and weinbar in somesters northern quarter, full into the braut with a ridiculous number of weeping and delicious food. bakerie belongs to the same people who have one of my favorite pizza place, dough, so I expect some delicious things! while bakeries is focused on brot and wein, they also make a large selection of plates and stuff. among the dishes are cheese, meat, seafood and vegetables and they get to adjust their plate according to what cheese/meat/seafood/veg items they want. four of us have decided to share four different plates, a selection of broth, cuddly and sweet potato...more"

Long table dining was great fun. Got chatting to a lovely couple and had great conversation. The event really encourages people to talk and enjoy sharing a drink. Food was lovely too.

friendly staff and good eating beautiful atmosphere, very friendly helpful staff. good choice for vegan and beautiful bread selection. Maybe something overpriced. that eating would be better served on tellers (not broth plates!) although this is only my opinion

what I ate: a sea board platter with lime and chilli prawns, salt and pepper baked squid and caviar (black roe) - which came with dill crème fraiche, caper butter and a basket of bakery brot. prime cut roast beef sandwich – cut roasted bark meat with a gröβe baked rake.

If you're a fan of savory snacks like bread, wine, and cheese, then you'll love the wide range of homemade bread at this restaurant! The only downside is that the open-plan layout can make it feel a bit noisy, making it less ideal for a work lunch or catching up with a friend during the day. Despite this, the bar is a great choice for a tasty evening treat.

I was very impressed by this place. Not only did they manage to get along with a group of 28 people, eating and the wee was really top and it was even good value. they make these incredible meat or fishboards that are really beautiful and tasty. before 7 o'clock, is 2 creams and a bottle of wine for £25. all her brot is gluten-free and they have a lot of vegan food available. the staff was friendly and helpful.

The dining experience at this restaurant is pleasant and they offer a great selection of dishes. The restaurant has recently expanded, with the upper floor now mainly dedicated to dining with a few drink options. The lower floor, typically a bar area, has plenty of seating. The bakery offers a delightful experience for those looking to enjoy beautifully crafted food (not intended for large family meals) in the company of friends or a significant other.

Went to Bakerie recently for their Christmas menu and it was absolutely delicious! every course was spot on and the only blip for the entire time there was mixed up drinks order which wasn't a big deal. The only reason I mention it here is because usually with a messed up drinks order you can be billed incorrectly at the end but Bakerie has automatically adjusted the bill to reflect the mix up. Really nice/comfortable inside with great atmosphere/ambiance so would definitely recommend to others as a place to pop in for some great quality food.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
