Amazing food. Dirty Katsu Fries and butter fried Chicken Katsu is the perfect combo. Not had a bad meal there yet.

If you’re a student looking for a quick lunch on a weekday and don’t require much in the way of taste. Soba would be a good choice for you and they have student discounts.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of Asian cuisine, plenty of seating options, and generous discounts for students. Afternoon prices are significantly lower, with students receiving discounts of approximately 40% on food and 20% on drinks. The restaurant/bar is not crowded during the afternoon and has clean restroom facilities.

Staff was very friendly and everyone had a tasty dinner although the menu could do with a spice scale. Some spicy dishes on the menu singed off your taste buds while others weren't overpowered. Maybe something to ask the waiter next time. But overall nice experience. Would go again (and hopefully I won't forget my student discount next time)

Loved the last Bar Soba experience in Glasgow's Merchant City so we would try the Byers rd industry as we were outside in the West End, the staff was very friendly and professional and we had seats on the window to us were the oldest by far in the restaurant, but this is a very student area. The food was fantastic again, I had the Chicken Sate followed by the Nasi Goreng, the delicous, cant really fail anything about the place, toilets immaculately clean, staff friendly and the food gorgeous, also the art in the toilets is on another level

I had a beef wrap called beef burger at Bar Soba this afternoon. It actually was very tasty however I would have liked to eat a burger with their good looking burger buns rather than a wrap. Their fries were good too. The cocktails are delicious. I love that they have a very big student discount and they are society-friendly as well. Staff was nice and patient with a big group. Nice atmosphere and interior. Recommend a visit! However, keep in mind that this is an Asian fusion restaurant, therefore their dishes are a mix of different cultures and isn't like traditional Asian food.

I went to Bar Soba alone for dinner after a concert at Oran Mor. I didn't have a reservation, but they were able to accommodate me. The service was excellent, with staff who were attentive and intuitive. I had dumplings and chicken satay, which were the best I've ever had. The dumplings were fried perfectly and filled with a delicious filling. The satay was juicy and flavorful, with roasted peanuts and a rich sauce. For my main course, I had the chicken katsu, which was crispy and juicy, with a perfect ratio of rice to chicken.
