Very poor food, Yakisob prawn and chicken noodles were tasteless, Salt and Pepper chips were extremely salty to the point that it drowned out all other flavours. Won't be back

I would have preferred to use Urban Spoon to find this restaurant, as it was recommended in a guide. The Grunde Pub had a laminated menu, and we ate there before going to the theater. The prices were reasonable, but the food wasn't anything to rave about.

A super little restaurant. Focus is on Scottish fare. The food is well prepared the steak particularly good. The haggis is lovely. Seafood is also a strength. Not cheap but well worth it. Staff were excellent very friendly and knowlegable. Highly recommended.

Went for my 40th and was disappointed! Venison spring rolls were quite bland but the worse thing was the main with medium rare medalions of fillet which arrived a dissapointing grey overcooked accompanyment to what was slightly dry but tasty haggis! Come on City Merchant!!! Return to form needed!!!
