"Oct Nipped in at lunchtime ordered meals, chicken n chips for wife and I had fish, chips and peas. The meals were served to our table within minutes of ordering, so no way were they freshly cooked. My fish and chips came with little...more than a spoon full of peas presented in those very small metal dishes used to serve ketchup and similar sauce! Fish, what there was of it, mainly batter, very hard, did not look appetising and did not taste that good. Wife did not enjoy the chicken either. Later on around tea time I felt ill and had stomach cramp. This continued into the night, and I had the trots the following morning and still had stomach cramp the following day. All I had all day was porridge for breakfast and lunch at The Barton Arms so can only put this down to the fish which was probably reheated with the batter being so hard and being served so quick. We won’t be going there again."

Very welcoming, clean and friendly place. We chose the fixed price menu which was very good value for money, the food was excellent and very well presented. A thoroughly enjoyable visit and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

We had previously left a review (two years ago) criticising the food portion and cost. Today I'm pleased to say that the food portions and price was spot on. Lets not forget that the food was well cooked and staff are excellent. I highly recommend...a visit.

Dropped in on a Tuesday, late afternoon after RHS Bridgewater with no prior booking and had a meal for five. Firstly can I say that the lunchtime menu, between (noon) and is great value for either two or three courses. The majority had...Fish and Chips which were fulsome and tasty, and just about the right portion size...(empty plates). The pasta dish was well received too. As to sweet(s) lovely came the replies. We’ve been a number of times over the years and if you fancy good grub, at a reasonable price, worth dropping by.

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
