"2 teas and a toasted tea cake for £7.95 what a joke ! Was presented with 2 cups of tea and a milk jug and stared at blankly when I enquired whether a tray was available. I also reminded the waitress that I was waiting for a teacake and then had to repeat this 4 separate occasions after waiting and then reminded that I hadn’t left with my 2 teas !. After the fourth time I’ve explained I was still waiting for tea cake and finally had a half cooked tea cake shoved in front of me with a tray this time. No manners or even a smile on the almost £8 spend. I found a seat in a very empty BB’s and can understand why ! Never again thank you, McDonald’s across the way is better and at least you get service with a smile."

Have been going here for years pre and post lockdown. Clean tidy and good prompt service. Peaceful atmosphere comfortable chairs. Range of coffees and wide range of cakes sandwiches and hot food. Can get crowded but always a good sign of customer approval

staff were very rude!! did not tell us how much our item come to, just chucked the card machine towards us and expected us to pay. no simple basic manners what so ever, seemed like everything we wanted was a hardship and they couldn’t be asked to do anything View menu

Whey for lunch with my mum had a bagette each which usually comes with salad they had initially run out but the manager made a special effort to make us some. The staff are really nice and friendly a nice relaxing atmosphere. Priced quite reasonably. Would recommend.

The coffee was a bit bitter for my liking and if you wanted milk you were required to pour yourself from a 2 Ltr bottle as you do at a market stall, but there you only pay £2.00 for two cups of coffee, not £5.05. There was only one type available, full fat, as there was no semi-skimmed milk. Overall it was poor value, and we shall stick to Mc D's in future.

Popped in here for coffee. Love the coffee here. I usually give this coffee shop a five rating but to be honest, the older staff in here are rude. I was served by a Asian man, no please or thank you. A foreign lady made my coffee no thank you or politeness. A smile would be nice too. When it’s younger staff the are polite and friendly. So today you get a three rating View menu

Visited this restaurant today for breakfast, the man serving was very rude and had a poor attitude, I also overheard him being rude to the female employee he was working with. I am supprised people use this place. The food was mediocre and the sandwich had barely any filling, you can expect that from a supermarket prepackaged sandwich but when you are paying nearly five pounds it is ridiculous. It must be a franchise as O can't see a company allowing staff to behave in this manner, 0 out of ten stars.

beautiful selection of foods that tasted delicious. beautiful coffee. friendly staff. beautiful music playing a beautiful relaxed atmosphere. we chose three different muffins that we delicious. but my muffin, the cranberry in tasted a little under baked and dried. the coffee we taste like the hot chocolate. we fought to find a clean table, so the staff asked to wipe our table when we did our order and a co-worker just passed and erased him. but when we sat, we found still dried ketchup and dried coffee still on the table, even where the table had been wiped off quickly, we found crumbs on our sitting.

"Visit with friends. Arrived and the restaurant was very empty at that time of the evening. Shown to a table that had been allocated to us. Asked if we could move to another and I was initially given the impression that that might be difficult. Just to say again that the tables were allocated rather than reserved. Another customer was making a similar request and after some back and forth we could both move. Not the greatest of starts. This restaurant specialises in Punjabi cuisine. That is what attracted us in the first place when reviewing the menu online before we booked. Starters were of a generous size but rather stodgy. Perhaps more filling for a starter than you might expect particularly if you had ordered a main course and were intending to have a dessert. In contrast my wives dessert was very small for the price charged. The main courses were very spicy even though we requested mild. I appreciate that is a preference on our parts but my wife felt the same. We went with a friend who was visibly sweating. He comment on his main fish course was that under the spice it was a little bland. A lady I took to be the owner asked if we were enjoying our main couse? We commented on how spicy they were and asked for some yoghurt to cool them down. This was supplied with no issues and in fact my wife's prawns (only three found sadly) and my lamb main course were taken back to the kitchen to have I assume some of the chillies taken out or additional yoghurt added. This was done very politely and efficiently. Just to add we have absolutely no issues with regional food differences whether they may be. Perhaps our preference in this instance for less spice takes away from the experience the restaurant seeks to give. However requesting when ordering a mild version, and when asked what we preferred as well, makes the customer right. To drink. A beer for me and our friend. A cranberry juice for my wife which apparently tasted like a squash. Service left something to be desired as well I am afraid. On our initial table three menus supplied. On the second only one and had to ask for two more. Table wiped down after our main courses but only one corner? Had to ask several times for the bill, having asked the lady above who dealt with the spicy food issues. In fact she was eating her evening meal behind us with other customers and jumped up and apologised when she realised she had not let us have our bill. The waitress who we dealt with initially about our table allocation asked at the end of our meal if we had enjoyed it and if we would return. Afraid we said no to both. We had a mutually respectable conversation as to why not and discussed the issues above and others. So a disappointing evening I am afraid. However this is a true reflection of our experience from our perspectives."
