"We booked the new function room which is on the back of Beggars Bridge. From start the booking process to finish leaving the event , the staff and service was excellent. We wanted to celebrate our son's christening , so booked the event for thirty of us on Sunday 5th Sept 2021. Food was provided and staff were laid on to run our own bar in the room. The room was excellent, a very unique design which looks really good. There was loads of food for the price of £8.95 per head, and it tasted great. They even supplied plastic doggy boxes to take the mountains of leftovers home. Cant thank them enough and highly recommend to anyone else."

The staff were unwelcoming, they didn't have Guinness available even though they checked the cellar, and they preferred cash over contactless payment. I will not be returning.

We had a delightful lunch at this restaurant, with delicious home-cooked food on a rainy day. They were very welcoming to our cockapoo, providing him with water and treats. We will definitely be returning this week.

The burger was tasteless and tiny, barely filled the bun, the chips were half decent, but cooked in contaminated fat bad news for a vegi sausages on the all day breakfast were deep fried.. in general just very poor! Service OK, price good, place clean and tidy just **** food

Came to Beggars Bridge for a drink with my husband. We haven't been here for a long time. The atmosphere was very friendly and felt safe. There was a good mixture of age groups. The staff were efficient and friendly. The live music was excellent. We have decided to make sure we come to Beggars Bridge on a more regular basis.

I went here for food at 7.32pm only to be told they stop serving food at 7.30pm. I went and checked their website and Facebook clearly states 8pm last orders for food mon Thurs no days state 7.30pm when I went back to complain 5 mins later apparently the chef had gone! Cripes they are quick at tidying away and cleaning up..terrible service ..

Have been a few times for drinks and food. Have to say that its a nice enough pub and the staff seem good enough but the food is a big let down. Happy to serve barely warm food and its ready in record time too even when you order the likes of gammon. Glasses haven't been the cleanest either. Couple things to improve on and it would be a superb pub.

I stopped by Beggars Bridge for a midweek lunch and was greeted by friendly staff. I was pleasantly surprised by the steak and ale pie - the pieces of steak were a generous size and the gravy was delicious. The pastry was flaky and the dish was very filling. Despite expecting it to be quiet midweek, there were about 16 people in the pub at 1:30pm on a Wednesday. I will definitely be returning.
