Just off the beaten track. A wonderful place for lunch. We enjoyed the most welcoming and relaxed meal so far this trip. Food was excellent.

I'm impressed, pasta, seafood, pizza was very delicious , tasty. Professional services made me happy. There was clean, cheap for everyone. I recommend this place for eveybody who wants to eat with family. This place is worth visiting;

New restaurant which opened April 2015. Nice and neat contemporary interior. Enjoyed the pasta and the cheese and salamis. Also, very very nice service. Chef of this restaurant was on TV cooking for a show. Soups were a little heavy. Bread at the beginning of the meal was fabulous.

Whilst visiting Lucca for the day wandering around on the Sunday it got to be quite cool so we found this place and happy to sit inside much warmer . The Staff very welcoming and the place extremely clean. My choice Penne Arrabiata thinking it would warm up my system, have to say it was definitely hot spicy . Also we chose a couple of bottles of red wines local from Lucca ,also very good another hit lunch.

Great restaurant, service and value. This restaurant has a new owner and manager. The service was exceptional. Great value, with the choice of meat or seafood tasting platter for 15 Euro inclusive of glass of wine, bottle of sparkling mineral water and tea or coffee. The quality of the food was amazing. Of course there is also the a la carte menu with a wide range of choices as well. You cannot go past this restaurant for value, quality and service!

We have been to Lucca many times before but this was the first time we had tried this restaurant as it is fairly new. I would highly recommend it. I had the seafood risotto which was perfectly cooked and lots of seafood in it which is not always the case. My husband had a pizza which is one of the best tasted in Italy-and we have tried a lot!! Service was excellent-attentive, friendly but not overbearing. The table was laid with pristine linen and the whole restaurant was extremely clean. Will go back.

We had a delicious meal here tonight. As good and better than we would get in London. The service here is great. Walk up to a section of three restaurants and enjoy the buzz and atmosphere but this is the best restaurant on the block. This used to be a tap room and changed hands in May. So the reviews from June are those to notice. We ate 15 euro tasting menus of surf or turf, all of which were delicious. For £15 euro we savoured smoked beef carpaccio or raw white prawns, followed by tomato delicacy with fried basil leaf or clam spaghetti, and then the most delicious salted cod with pepper hummus and caramelised onion which was just to die for, or Angus beef fillet with asparagus. Seriously....

We were in Lucca for the afternoon for a day trip and on our way back to the train station to go back to Florence for dinner, we walked past a side street which leads into a square and we noticed this as it was full of people and had a great atmosphere. Intrigued, we walked up and found 3 restaurants in the square, which had people standing waiting for tables. We looked at all 3 menus and decided to go to Birreria Della Corte as the menu was more to our taste. The restaurant was busy and full, we were all seated outside which added to the atmosphere.
