"We enjoyed our meal. We went without a reservation but they found us a table, although I was seated behind a post so I couldn 't see the sea. The restaurant became very busy at about 8pm. We had the fixed three course menu for 34...Euros. The starter was made from king prawn tails (queues de gambas), which was very good. The main course was a brique of fish in filo pastry, which was excellent but it was served on its own it would have been better with a few vegetables, although there were some vegetables inside the pastry. The desserts were also good but small. We had a good bottle of rose wine Chateau de Valetanne which is an organic (bio) wine. The waiters were friendly and helpful. The price for two was 100 Euros count on more if you choose from the menu rather than having the fixed menu, as the starters are a bit expensive."

The restaurant is Lllocated on a perfect spot right next to the beach. We took the menu. Great food and good value. Good selection of wine. The life music (on this friday evening) didn't bother us but was no addition to the atmosphere. Helpful and...friendly staff. Will come again.

Another perfect evening at Bistr’eau Ryon. We chose the menu Bistr’eau (38 Euro). The carpaccio of salmon on quinoa was exquisite and the filet de bar contained flavours which enhanced the food and delighted the palate. The pomme with crumble was ok, but not thrilling....A bottle of Provençal white wine completed the menu. Merci, de nouveau.

If you want the best food in and around the Lavandou this is the place to be chef Alain Ryon uses nothing but the best produce including locally caught tuna and the apple pud is to DIE for. Its the best gaff in...the area been coming here for years and with its huge terrace overlooking the Plage St Clare and its amazing wine list it is a must

eating is delicious. especially enjoyed the filled tomats and the monk fish / lobster polnta court. great melon soup as “Amuse-gueule”. the disappointment was the waiting staff, who refused to give us a place on the terrace. although the table remained empty for the duration of our visit. we would have booked another night here if it had not been for these two points.

an annual visit here disappointed not. the menu jour is reliable fresh and interesting. we had a beautiful amuse bouche by veloute de courge and the first cure was a risotto with muscheln and girolles that worked nicely together. the main was a filet. of lup de mer with seasonal Provençal vegetables and it ended with cheesecake. we were thrilled by every cursor and budget. the restaurant was very full and had a good atmosphere. the service was usually attentive, although the two waiting employees were pretty busy. a further pleasant evening.

beautiful, spacious interior. three very hard working female employees who move fast. my wife had the 39 € menu Bistr’eau with oktopus salatstarter, cadjau main and pfirsich desert they enjoyed. I walked from the slope and had the tomaten farci starter followed by...Echine porc (basedally pulled swarm on a bed of swirling) that was delicious. two ice cubes for 6 € for pudding. two jars ok wein 6 € per and the total bill for two included service was 120 € so, not cheap but the quality of the meal, quickly served, yet made the experience pleasant.

We love this restaurant, as the chef makes a point of using fresh produce from local markets and cooking delicious dishes. So, the menu du marche we had included perfectly, just-cooked slices of monkfish on a bed of vegetables, including mushrooms, potato and others. The...first course was marinated tuna with quinoa and salad. This was light and mouthwatering. The apple tarts for dessert were gorgeous and included a touch of frangipane, on flaky pastry. We had a bottle of local Provence rose, excellent service from the waiter and a brief chat with the chef. We were delighted. Thank you once again.

The colours, the textures, the flavours of every dish we had was simply outstanding. The specialty of the chef is fish in summer and game in winter. We were here in summer and the fish was cooked to perfection. Other favourites were the Scallop Terrine,...Tuna and Salmon Tartar on Quinoa, Terrine of Vegetables and Fois Gras, Crab Avocado and Tomato Concasse, Flambéed Caramelised Citrus Soufflé and the stunning Apple Tart. The energy of the waiter and his candid banter was contagious! We would recommend the Menu de Jour as a very reasonable way to experience this creative slant on French cuisine. Highly recommended!
