"Staying in the Charente, we drove into Bordeaux late in the afternoon, with the intention of eating a meal, then seeing the city light up, as night fell. Despite its rather American-sounding name, the menu was definitely French in character - my wife had a well-presented and tasty croquet monsieur whilst I had a platter of charcuterie. Being high summer, we sat outside, but the interior is smart, and very spacious. The food here is unpretentious, but excellent. I had an excellent glass of Tariquet, and a memorable tiramisu. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We should not hesitate to return on future visits to Bordeaux."

We had a lovely dinner here with good service. We both had the roast chicken which was excellent with awesome fries and a great bottle of wine. Not overly expensive for France which was nice too.

Very friendly staff with good English. The main course as well as the dessert were very tasty. Homemade chips are delicious. Prices are reasonable. We will definitely come back before we leave Bordeaux.

We shared a delicious charcuterie platter. We both had a really really good Croque Madame. So good with a perfectly cooked egg. Had we stayed another day, i would have eaten here again. Nice friendly service.

A warm And cute bistro right next to the Hotel Konti near the city center. The perfect place to grab a drink, have a meal, or for taking a break. The staff and owners were very nice and spoke English. The vegan dish was excellent.

Nice restaurant with good food and friendly staff. Prices are OK. Unfortunatly there is not enough staff and whilst those who are there are working high-speed, at times they were overwhelmed (long waiting times, orders forgotten). Not clear to us if this is a structural...or temporary problem.

We came across this bistro quite by accident, as so often happens. First impressions were positive: a happy host, a happy hostess, English speaking which helps, lots of locals and the food was so good and fresh. We skipped dessert only because we had to, too full. Host was most helpful in choosing a wine, and didn't take advantage of our ignorance. Would go back.

In a few days we visited this Bistro several times. Great beer and wine and the manager/owner was very helpful with local knowledge and humour round our attempts at the language. He and his attentive staff made it an easy place to be and made us very welcome which was our experience in nearly all parts of Bordeaux. Sadly we didn't have time for food but maybe next trip we will.

We were in town wanting out dinner and stopped on the off chance it was good. We weren't disappointed. The small charcuterie as a starter to share was perfect although one of the salamis was seriously tough. The main course lasagne was huge, nicely layered and tasty. The crumble for dessert was just ok but the homemade salted caramel ice cream it cake with delicious. Very busy place and with a waiting staff of just three, they were extremely efficient. Price was typical for dinner at a little over €60.I'd go again.
