I had a lovely lunch here with my family today. The meal was enjoyable and reasonably priced. It’s a great place, and I can't wait to return!

Today, I enjoyed a lovely lunch with my beautiful partner. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the decor was fantastic. The menu had a wide variety of options, and the portion sizes were massive. Make sure to come hungry, as you'll definitely have leftovers!

I just ordered their takeout Sunday Roast, and it was absolutely incredible! The meat was fantastic, the roast potatoes were perfectly cooked, and there was plenty of stuffing, Yorkshire puddings, and vegetables—more than I could even eat. It was brilliant! We had lunch at the restaurant and it was a delightful experience. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding, and everything was cooked to perfection. Although I couldn't finish my meal, I truly enjoyed it. The staff were wonderful, and I appreciated the added bonus of takeout options. Thank you for making my special occasion with my partner fantastic!

We went to the Black Bull after being invited by friends to join them for dinner there. The building is very quaint and very old with low beams. The menu is written on a blackboard and with desserts on another. It was mostly roast dinner with a choice of beef pork chicken and lamb. 2 of us had the roast beef, which came with a huge plate of veg potatoes, peas,carrots, and sprouts). Our friends had a mixture of beef, chicken, and lamb. We all agreed it was a lovely meal. The portions were very generous and the staff were very efficient but friendly. Drinks were ordered from the bar. The cost was a little higher than we normally pay but well worth the extra.

This pub was on my list of places to visit for a Sunday lunch and it was well worth it the 40 mins drive from Woodford. The pub itself is from around 1400 I believe and has a lot of original features which is beautiful to see like fireplace and wooden supporting beams. Service was great from booking to being seated and waiting staff. Love that the menu Is written on the chalkboard and there was a wide selection of roasts; beef, lamb, pork, chicken and nut roast for vegetarians.
