"The Phoenix Cafe is uniquely placed to be a perfect stopping off place for visitors and locals to The Park at Findhorn, home to the spiritual community that became established there in the 1960s. The Phoenix Cafe (previously known as the Blue Angel and possibly the Green Room) is built within the Universal Hall complex and it acts as a hub for much more than just casual visitors looking for a coffee. It serves a lot of organic products, including hot and cold food and refreshments. It is licensed and stocks a good range of local craft beers. There is indoor and outdoor seating in a relaxed woodland setting. It often has extended opening hours for evening entertainment or when there are big events at the Hall."

Great stopping point to put back the calories you just burnt off when walking. Delightful fresh cake, hot tea and a setting that’s hard to be beaten. Even the birds were nice! Thanks View menu

Stopped here for lunch on the way up North, had the best baked tatties I have ever tasted! Love the whole ethos and spirit of Findhorn, used to have holidays every year as a child, so it was lovely to visit again, hope to go back soon as soon as possible

Ok so don't go here if you are in a hurry! This is the Findhorn Foundation, nothing happens quickly here and this is a good thing come here to slow down and relax. The coffees, hot choc are great and the croissants- plain or almond just delicious though will be loaded with calories

We stopped here for drinks and cakes. Beautiful array of tempting cakes on show, but unfortunately the only vegan choices were cupcakes (which were dry and tasteless and vegan bites (disappointing when compared to a nice slice of cake! Coffee was good. We also used the bar during the interval of a concert we attended at Universal Hall good choice of drinks, including organic cider. View menu

I have been going to this café for many years and am happy to report that the recent total refurbishment and the changes to the menu (adding breakfasts and some new lunch options) have made the place better than ever. When the weather is good, it is a really lovely place to sit outside amongst trees and near a pond. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the interior is attractive and comfortable, with a well-designed layout.

We came to findhorn foundation to see the Village and what is was all about. Fantastic place! Loads of very quirky houses. Lovely. We spent around 4 hours here walking around looking at all the different village types and houses. Shop was ace. Very good quailty products. Reasonable well priced too. We went to the cafe for coffee and then again later for lunch. Food was good. Coffee good. Although was not too happy being asked to turn my sons music on the phone down (wasn't loud) he generaly watches peppa pig whilst eating as he has a medical

"Genuinely couldn't fault the experience. When I heard that the Drouthy had a new menu focusing more on a veggie and vegan base, I knew I had to give it a whirl. The starter of hot Smoked salmon with lemon creme fraiche and oatcakes was simple yet packed full of flavour. I could have easily have had 10 plates of that and been happy to give it 5 stars. My partner had the smoked duck and even though I have given up meat, I was salivating at the look of their dish. They assure me that it was as delicious as it looked. Served with lavender roasted potatoes (which I'm told were amazing and charred salsify. The mains were more than a match for the brilliant starters. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be get the beetroot risotto. Not being a massive fan of beetroot, I wasn't too sure about it. But the incredibly warm waiter (for my son's, I never got his name. I only hope he can forgive me if he reads this! assured me it was tasty. He was not wrong. Beautifully cooked vegan risotto with balsamic beetroot chunks, shiitake mushrooms and rocket, it was simply divine. WHEN I go back, I'll be hard pressed to go for anything else because it was so delicious. It was creamy, packed full of flavour and cooked absolutely perfectly. Just the right amount of bite, nowhere near being mush like you get in a lot of other places (who charge a lot more, by the way . Superb. The highest of compliments to the chef. I was so taken by my dish I forgot to ask how my partner's was until I had eaten all of mine. But their home made vegan tagliatelle had disappeared from the plate so it must have been amazing. I couldn't handle dessert so had a delicious ruby port (delaforce I think it was called , and I would also like to give credit to whoever came up with their wine list. It covered every single base and no-one could ever be disappointed. Finally, if you're ever in Elgin, please make sure this is one of your destinations. You will leave extremely happy."
