"We 've been getting our fish suppers from Blue Lagoon whenever we visit Largs for the last few years. This will be the last time, we will be trying somewhere else next time. Chips were luke warm at best and greasy with a lot of slivers (think fried potato peel). Fish was grey, although advertised as 'fish ' they are charging cod/haddock prices. My partner is a former fisherman and believes it was pollock/coalie which is a much cheaper fish. Batter was dry and way overcooked, instead of it flaking apart it snapped apart. We also had the battered sausage which was luke warm, greasy and soggy batter. The vinegar didn 't taste or smell like vinegar, was it watered down? Definitely not worth it. Has it changed ownership in the last year?"

Staff were highly polite and attentive, nothing was ever too much. Very clean inside and the food was absolutely perfect

Paid £12 for a black pudding supper and 6 chicken nuggets got barley enough chips to fill a roll and the nuggets were still cold inside . Stay away what a joke

Not quite the worst fish and chips ever eaten but certainly the most expensive. Lightly battered came as cardboard and fish overcooked. I recommend this is best avoided.

Fish supper £12.95 for 2 slices, absolutely delicious and batter nice and crispy, chips were also very tasty but quite miserable with the portions for that price. Overall great

Absolute rip off. And the food is very average.. £6.95 for a sausage supper. £1.60 for a can of juice. £1.40 for a measly fritter. And false advertising with the fried mars bar. As it is in actual fact fun size mars bars . Great place to go if you enjoy being robbed

"Magic sea. we went about 6 months ago after fins had threatened for years. that was worth waiting for us to arrive a little early before they had changed the prices on the boards, that was lucky because they had the decision to offer us the meal times at the price at the arrival, result. to every way back to the foods that the woman had the scalopps and black pudding and I had the langoustines. I was a little confused by the cutlery laid in front of me, pliers and a funny fork, but it was good when I asked the waitress what I should do with it and she showed me pretty happy. the scallops were amazing and it was that really beautiful black pudding so a great start for them. what had done me well, I had never eaten longoustine before, but I had to go right in and it was a great experience and the taste was just beautiful. large mmmm in our bauch. the most important courses were turbot for me and the missus chose the sea bass. the food was beautifully presented and it was smaller that I thought it was, but I had never eaten somewhere in that posh before. Anyway, both can have beautiful vegien and we both came into them and we were not dissappointed it was perfectly cooked. the turbot was the softest spruce I've ever had and the taste was amazing. the sea bass came with I think noodles and she loved it. everything was beautiful and relaxed and none of the unem emphasized that you sometimes find when you can be a little bit on yourself in the leading restaurants, but here it was not at all. about all this was a nice place to eat, a wee bit expensive but they get great service and beautiful environment. dylan"
