"we ran into this inviting restaurant, moist from a day in rain. I noticed an additional page with the tageskarte in German at the first glance of the menu in the entrance area. when we took the place, we got the menu without this side, but it seemed only the usual tourist selection. I asked our waiter if we could get this extra page, and he brought them to speak and offered to translate us and to offer his suggestions to bamberger. our suppe was just the right one, along with a melting pork in the mouth ... and the bee ... the best of our journey to Europe. impeccable and friendly service and tasty eating. what do you need more for a perfect evening?"

We were just looking for a place to drink and eat a bite. It ended a great surprise in terms of food quality and drinks were also absolutely brilliant.

We had dinner with friends in Bamberg. I had THE BEST Wiener Schnitzel ever! The beer was great. We all had great meals. The staff was friendly and attentive.

very nice place. friendly staff, good prices and many delicious options on the menu. we had traveled all day and wanted a carving - this was exactly the right one and the children enjoyed the burgers.

We ate Frankish Specials, full of taste. The local beer created a rich engraving with delicate well cooked meat. Beautiful location, outside in the covered beer garden with heaters make a comfortable location.

the scene was very young - many locals on a Thursday for the Burger Special. the burgers are big and looked good. I had the chicken breast in Mediterranean style (Gemüse-Ratatouille) with pommes frites - very good. there are the usual Franconian dishes as well as a large drink card.

on the way back (down) from the dom we hit the brasserie. we had a wonderful waitress who spoke very good English and recommended excellent Franconian dishes to taste. even if it is unusual for Americans, I would recommend choosing the daily dish that they have with porosity, haxe... or another random body part. the beer was awarded in bamberg as always.

to say something about this restaurant is difficult. some meals are great, others are not so great. one of us had mushrooms with German mmelknödeln. the dumplings were great, but it was an almost impossible mission to find the mushrooms in the sauce - yet tastefully a very good dish. but one thing you need to be sure when you enter the restaurant, time, much time! it seems that the number of chefs is too small.

While there are many places to eat and drink in bamberg, we have only decided to have one. it was practically full, but a friendly smiling waitress managed to force us into it. the menu offered many deliciously sounding Bavarian dishes, and the blue cordon bleu and the fairy noodles proved to be unforgettable delicious! only one tip: with such a large selection of local beers - leave a drink card on the table so that guests can browse. I'm sure I couldn't have resisted ordering another one if I didn't have to ask for the menu. thanks for a nice evening!

when we walked through bamberg on a cold winter day, a family with teenagers looking for a late lunch, a few places looked at and then stumbled over this jewel. we looked at the menu and decided, yes. we were greeted by the staff and led into the beer garden and saw a few people eating and drinking. the first appearance was good, very comfortable and soothing on a very cold day. the menu was very good, beer and wee came well, great service. an acute and a relaxed atmosphere. that reminded us very much of an Australian pub with the beer garden outside and a long inside. (view the signs at the toilet doors.) we can recommend this pub in any case.

Bamberg, a UNESCO site, charms with medieval architecture and its iconic smoked beer, Rauchbier. Savory dishes like Schäuferla (pork shoulder) and Franconian bratwurst are local culinary highlights.
