"8 of us went for a mid-week lunch and we all had mixed feelings about our meal. The 29€ had: foie gras a little under seasoned all be it well prepared and presented; prawns a "surf&turf", prawns were tasteless, under seasoned, with an undercooked cold boiled egg and 2 thick slices of bacon; all served with a strong garlic sauce. All very confusing and not particularly well executed nor tasty.As a main: 350g with 3 bone marrow and chips, way too much meat for a 3 course meal, the bone marrows were excellent and the meat tender. The sweetbreads were covered in garlic, cooked well all be it slightly under seasoned. The cod, was over cooked and risotto was tasteless.The desserts, galette was OK the sorbet was over sweet, the other dessert was a fondant au caramel which was excellent.Over all La Bagatelle offers a simple menu which is of good value for money but way too much food on the plate, not refined enough and easy too copious.I don't think we will return, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant itself is nice."

"Discovered during a weekend in Le Havre, this pub/restaurant seduced us from the entrance. The atmosphere is warm, and the decoration offers a magnificent view. We feel comfortable, and the idea of spending the whole day redoing the world would have been tempting. The variety of drinks offered is very satisfactory, with quite reasonable prices. Without hesitation, I would have elected this place as my GQ if I had lived in Le Havre. A must-see address!"

"Although located in a quite dull place and with the interior decoration worth a bit of investment, this restaurant serves great food. There are not more than 10 tables in this tiny restaurant, with only one waitress in charge of the whole place. Make sure to book. The chef has a real talent. In a nicer location (i.e. facing the sea front) and with a better interior design, this restaurant could claim much higher prices. But it's great to keep it like it is. A place were locals like to go and were the quality of the food is more important than a posh location or fancy design."

"It was a recommendation that we received from a tourist guide and were happy to have gone there. we enjoyed eating out on the terrace because the sun was out. the variety of the menu we all enjoyed and we enjoyed our food. I recommend ordering their fish and chips with a homemade tartare sauce, it was delicious! They also make delicious pancakes. our server was friendly and the service was excellent. There was a medieval bayeux party at the time of our visit, which made the atmosphere very fun. There are many shops nearby that we liked to browse after eating. We even thought about returning a second night in a row, certainly check this place!"
