Nice food, nice place, but I wish they would get the service of coffee quicker!!

Beautiful location, wonderful food. Really enjoyable experience in a terrific National Trust property.

Long wait to be served, need more people serving drinks, very expensive and sandwiches had a lot of salt in them.

Ate a very nice meal here after a long search for something other than fish and chips. Very nice setting and good food.

The service wasn 't very good , the staff were unorganized, our jacket potato 's were hard and when we asked for a cream tea they had run out of clotted cream and were not helpful to offer us an alternative.

Travelled a long way and called in here as it was close to our destination. A couple of options for hot food but one was removed as I was in the queue so I ordered the spiced Cauliflower pasty. I had to wait and then it was delivered to our table. A pasty...on a plate. It was little dry but quite tasty. My friend had a prepacked sandwich and we suspect this caused a little tummy trouble later. There was cake available.

Very long, slow moving queue for service. Other NT cafes don't seem to have this problem so persistently. We visited several times over the last 10 years and always had a long queue. It must have been a known problem but doesn't seem to have been addressed in all the refurbishment. Also found a limited choice of special diet options for cakes.
