Brise de Mer Restaurant

The Euro course menu is excellent. The starter is a buffet, followed by a choice of main course (good fish) and a pudding. A very good choice.

they should try ravioli filled with jacob muscheln and sampi and also duck. also good possibilities to choose other food for children than burger or nuggets ...

the restaurant was busy, but they managed to find space for us. the cold buffet had a good, well presented selection. the hot choice was huh with a delicious mushroom sauce. dessert was an excellent cream citrusry pudding, a good price. liter red rounded a pleasant eating.

The restaurant didn't rank so high on trip advisor, wasn't listed in our guide books, and didn't have many customers, but we decided to check it out anyway: we were pleasantly surprised! While I wouldn't say that their gazpacho was true gazpacho (but we were...in France... I know.. it was delicious, as was my monkfish and bean dish. I wouldn't have typically paired a white fish with hearty beans, but I was glad that I tried it!

we were looking for lunch and had already been turned off from another restaurant, but the kitchen was happy to stay open for us a little longer. it is not clear from outside, but the restaurant has a beautiful large terrace with a good one. our waitress was a nice lady from nizza who helped us with a corsian translation. we had both sea fruits, the biggest long-lasting, which were ever boiled in pastis for herrn t and muddle in wine for me. I went there around pm to reserve a table for dinner for that same night, the waiter was very nice and even gave me the chance to choose one of the tables on the nice terrace. Well, believe it or not, when we came...back for dinner our table was taken by other people and we had to sit elsewhere, close to a ugly plexiglas column and much worse close to the kitchen...whose smells have been accompanying our dinner from the beginning to the end. The food is really under average for Porto, there is only one nice thing in this restaurant and it is the terrace...but only if you can sit at the few tables at the very border...but my suggestion is just to choose another restaurant.

we eat here because all more attractive and/or more interesting restaurants were full. so is the first tip in porto to reserve an evening meal, also on a Tuesday in the next season. because there was no large quantity that appealed on the menu, I decided to eat the classic burger with friten while my man ordered the tagateille with salmon. both were at euro prices. the burger was a decent size in a regular bungalow and very undercooked. If I had been less rudent, I would have sent it back. the fries were really good and cooked in an unusual cubed form. the daily dish was quite small and unobstructed, although a generous amount of laughs included. the restaurant is part of a star hotel and it...

What attracted us to this place was the range of mussel dishes, ranging from standard moule mariniere to an unusual Corsican version done with local hams. I think there were versions in total, or perhaps even more. The place was a rather large staid...dining room that could have been designed by any French grandma. The view was quite nice and green and there were indeed a lot of elderly people in the place when we came for dinner. Service was fast and efficient and really quite pleasant as the waitress and kitchen both understood our need to be in a hurry due to the football World Cup commitments of my partner (I think France was playing that evening).
