"we went with friends for a xmas lunch. The price was reasonable, which should perhaps of been the clue! walking up to the front door I wanted to turn round as it was so untidy garden furniture laying on its side, old bit of stuff just left where it had been dropped. The entrance was a smoking area, in fact we were not sure if it was even open from the outside it looked closed. Food was ok , quite average . did not feel remotely Christmas like I'd definitely not go back"

We've been calling into the Bull and Bear for the last few Sundays and the Sunday roast is excellent. Also there's a good variety of starters and deserts at reasonable prices. The staff are very welcoming and the garden is a very pleasant place to sit and chill out on a hot day. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

We arrived and commented on how run-down the place has become. I went there with friends and my mother a few years ago and somehow it´s all gone downhill from there. The front door makes you think the restuarant is closed and there are cigarette butts everywhere. The food was good to average and the service was efficient. The place could do with a really good clean. The inside is drab and unwelcoming. A bit underwhelmed by the whole experience.
