"We have been coming back to Crans Montana every year for 16 years we know what restaurants are available in the area, but for some reason had never tried Le Farinet, so decided to give it a go and had high hopes given the good reviews. However, we had a very poor experience. The service was extremely slow, it took 20 minutes just to bring us menus (and we had a reservation). I then ordered a dish with the primary ingredient being seitan and when the food arrived, quickly realized the seitan was missing. I notified the waiter and he said oh, I’ll ask the chef and brought the food back to the kitchen after which it took 20 minutes for the dish to come back to me with its intended primary ingredient. Meanwhile, the rest of the people I was eating with were waiting to eat their food and of course 20 minutes later, their food was cold. Mistakes happen, I understand but the worst part about the experience was the response and attitude to the mistake. No coming to the table while I was waiting for the food to apologize, explain the mistake and even when the food finally came and we were quite cross with the delay, no real sense of an apology, just very cold and matter of fact. Finally, when we asked one waiter for the bill, we waited 20 minutes only to have another waiter give us the dessert menu and had to ask for it all over again. Additionally, even though our experience was tainted by the bad service, I can honestly say the food was bland. A few people at our table got the quinoa curry dish and there was little to no hint of curry flavor and the seitan, when it finally came, felt like it was just thrown in with a watery broth. So overall, although it’s in a great location and has a nice terrace, I wouldn’t recommend Le Farinet go to one of the other lovely restaurants in Crans Montana, and you’ll have a better experience."

"Yes, after trying several restaurants in Crans Montana, i can say that for me this is the Best place to eat in all valais. For me! I really love the Polenta Montagnard up at Colombire, the Entricote aux morilles and the Amazing view at Plumachit, the Biftec tartar at Taillens(although the Best tartar is here, at Continental ,the delicious pasta with șea fruits at Molino, and the generous portions of pasta at Michelangelo, the Crepes at the Yccor, close to the Patinoire(skating land , the Grillade at Le Chalet în Crans, and the Pizza at gerber, the Grilled duck with rice (mmmmmm..... at le Thai, and thuna sushi at Kaizen, but when it comes to eating the Best dinner for me is Le Continental. The place is not easy to find, it is a bit hidden, the Restaurant looks ok, nothing special, and their terrace is nice, but needs some renovations. But the food, really every plate that comes out of their kitchen has ' ' Passion ' ' written on it. This you can see în every of the Photos posted by their guests. I always get hungry just by looking at the Photos. Smile smile smile Service is friendly, always smiling, nothing is too much for them. I m not a fan of ' 'la chasse ' ', actually Last year was the first time when i ve tried it, and I ve liked it, but i felt a bit guilty there after as I feed the Forest animals every week with rest covers, still the plates were delicious, still for me The piuree is the "star "that convinced me to come and eat here:when I was a child my father used to cook for me and my smaller brother every Sunday, and our favorite plate was Piuree with chicken wings.And crepes, of course, but not many restaurants offer Crepes(pancakes as dessert. Pitty.... I will be here in November, and I will enjoy some Lunch menus this summer too:they are delicious and the prices are always fair, I ve totally appreciated every plate of this Restaurant, and the Coffee too."

"Just passing by, we decided to give the restaurant a try. As it was a friday evening and the restraunt was very crowded, we were lucky to find a place for 2 people (TIP: call in advance to book a table, it will sapre you a bad surprise when arriving there! . The service was chaotic, I guess there where too many guests... or not enough staff members. Even if they were obviously under pressure, the waiters were polite and helpful. Regarding the food, we were very happy with what we were served. The Pizza della Casa and the Linguine alle scampi were very good and well prepared. The wine served to us was a bit cold, but could get warm enough before we got our meals. Globally, we were culinary very satisfied, but the staff was really stressed making the service not satisfying..."

"Wir waren mit Geschäftsfreunden dort, die das Restaurant gut kannten. Wir wurden sehr freundlich auf Französisch und deutsch begrüßt. Der Service ist sehr nett und es hat nicht lange gedauert. Zu essen gab es verschiedene Sorten Fondue und verschiedene Röstivariationen, aber auch Fleisch- und Nudelgerichte und Salate. Wir waren mit Käsefondue und Rösti sehr zufrieden. Dazu einen Weißwein aus der Gegend und eine sehr ansprechende Dessertkarte. Preislich völlig in Ordnung. Hauptgerichte ca 27 bis 30 CHF Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, wenn man typisch schweizerisch essen möchte."

"Probably the best steak I have eaten outside of the US. The quality of the meat was excellent and the hot stone cooking method meant we could cook how we wanted. Staff were helpful and friendly (even though English was limited and we spoke very little French or Italian) and the food was well presented and brought to the table at a nice pace for a relaxed meal. Free antipasti (bread, olives and dips) was brought to the table which were delicious. In addition the cost of the set dinner menu was pretty good for an expensive ski area in Switzerland (even in the summer). Really good experience."
