Cactus - Menu

Quite quiet at first but livened up later. Good selection of beers and cocktails although a littld pricey

This cafe has a good service and you can order a lot of domestic and other beers of the world. And has a nice lookout

THE barman poured a cup of coffee over my trousers, blamed me for being uncareful and refused to apologise, let be payment for cleaning. Only after threatening to call the policy I could leave this very uncomfortable situation. Dieppe is not a very nice...town to visit, but this incident makes me to avoid it as much as I can

A mid-August Sunday around we sat at an available table on the nice-looking terrace, desiring to have coffees and maybe sweet bits. A server came and ask if what we would like, we start to mention coffees, then he immediately snatch the menus from...us, saying he cannot afford to let us occupy its nice terrace just for coffees. We went next door in a way more welcoming cafe, glad to not have spent money on 'Cactus' View menu

We stopped there for drinks and light snack. The cheese platter was enough for both of us and I think the price of was fair but we had to ask for extra bread as the portion supplied was not enough. Friendly staff, speaking very...good English. Decor quirky but tired. There is a toilet for the disabled but there are three steps leading to it!!! Toilet is clean with great quality toilet paper, better than in our hotel

This place is ran by shrugging teenagers. We were made to wait, then ordered to an expressionless waiter, eventually half the order arrived. We made multiple reminders to bewildered waiters before being told "no more moules". No apology, no care whatsoever they couldn't have cared...less. Then proceeded to serve moules to tables surrounding us, one of which stood and left leaving a few short words behind them. We should have done the same. Just a tourist bait in pretty colours, But go somewhere else folks..

I have stopped here twice on the way back to catch the ferry to Newhaven and on both occasions have had good meals. As usual most of the staff speak good English so easy to order etc. The steak hache is cooked medium and very...****, tastes really good but make sure to ask for well done if you are not a fan of this style. The food we have had here has generally been of a good standard at a good price. The beer is well priced at about euro a pint. Cheaper than many places in France these days. The outdoor seating is great on a nice day. Inside can seem a bit dark however. They do not seem to cope as well when it is busy as I have seen a number of orders mixed up or forgotten but all are recti... View menu
