"Unexpected fantastic sushi! I went to Basel for a quick dinner. I expected a decent quality sushi. But I was amazed by the freshness of fish, well-prepared ascent and significantly higher than the medium quality sushi based on Asian standards (I lived there for years). I enjoyed so much that I came back next night."

Very good Asian restaurant, many decisions and everything we tried was good. The atmosphere and decoration is beautiful. The swing chair above is quite funny.

Very slow service. When the pizzas were finally ready after 45 min waiting the order were wrong. Besides having the wrong order tha sauce was so spice that I could not eat it, and of course it is not indicated in the menu any super “spicy” food.

Food was very overpriced and had nothing to do with italian food. Spagetti was over cooked, and contained very little bolognese. Staff was very nice, and the beer was good, but the food lacks on all fronts. Salats was not even worth talking about.

When we lived in Switzerland this was one of our favorite restaurants. We came back to visit and ordered the same meals we usually did. They were good but not as good as before. Less flavor and missing some items. The place has also changed a lot.

Very nice ambiance in the restaurant, very nice waiter, very nice concept (we had the all you can eat formula, and we ate all we could), very good quality of sushis; fresh, creative, tasty and with choices for vegetarians as well. I would highly recommend it

Lovely Asian restaurant with lots of options, I'm vegan and was quite happy. Lovely bowl of warming ramen on a cold festive day was ideal. Beautiful decorations across 2 floors, service was great and friendly. I would come back for more and good drink choices.

"Cheval Blanc is the ultimate classic French fine dining experience in Switzerland. We came here to celebrate my birthday while in Switzerland looking for a 3 Michelin stars experience. Located in the historical Grand Hotel Les Trois Rios. The riverside setting is charming and romantic. You start by a welcome drink at the terrace looking at the Rhine greeted by suited , polite and professional staff. The head chef Peter Knogl came to say hi before we moved to the main dining room and service started. The decor and interior is classy retro French with high ceilings, arches, classic chandeliers, large windows and round tables with candles. Ambience is warm and intimate. Service was top notch and impeccable. Staff were all knowledgeable with refreshing attention to details. Cuisine was modern french with Mediterranean influences, flavors were complex and dynamic. Ingredients were chosen carefully and courses were presented beautifully. I liked all of my courses, highlights of the menu were the Sardine Macaron, Langoustine curry, Red Mullet filet and the French saddle of lamb with mediterranean flavors. Wine pairing was excellent and enhanced every course taste and flavor. Sommelier was very professional and knowledgeable yet intimidating a bit. The French Cheese selections from Maître Antony in Ferrette was aromatic, rich and satisfying, Maître Antony is one of the best in the world that many Michelin starred Chefs get their fine cheeses selection from. The night ended well with a couple of delightful desserts courses, few delectable bites and some velvety chocolate. Overall, we had an elevated fine dining experience that will bring me back if in Basel again."
