"I've been wanting to visit Bonn for many year's and as we were doing a tour of the citie's of the North Rhine /Westphalia this former capital of the Federal Republic of Germany was alway's a place to go. We had been to some nice...pub's and restaurant's and took in some of the landmark's and site's when we chanced on the lovely lively bar. Walking in and this modern bar was absolutely packed ,we ordered some beer's were we took a seat and soaked up the great vibe in here. The bar is nice, functional seating, nice decor and creative use of lighting help's make for a cosy bar and for the nice weather there is a large outside seating area. Our beer was fantastic ,served iced cold and sparkling ,we really enjoyed it and we took advantage of the free wi--fi to plan out our next pub to visit. This bar is certainly very popular and on our visit the bar was rammed with a youngish crowd. An easy bar to find ,jump the Ubahn down to UNIVERSITÄT/MARKT and walk over to FRANZISKANER STRAßE were you will find this bar. Opening hour's are; Monday to till till Great bar and well worth a visit."

pleasant and relaxing venue. I didn't eat anything so I can't provide any more information. there were many young families who ordered food. a beautiful place to enjoy a coffee.

eating is okay, the service is okay. it is not very cozy, but it is reasonable. it is a good place to take a drink, especially if they don't know what to do in the inner city of bonn.

great grief to a beautiful putzkolleg in caffeine blue, who yesterday returned my lost hand to his hat and it returned to me today unharmed. mammut is the best! many thanks: of course also the nice service staff that helped me locate it! I always like to come here:

it is the perfect place to have a coffee on the afternoon with their friends, a lunch with their friend/friend or a cocktail with their date. the bar is very popular with students (only behind the university main building) and most waiters are...also students who want to earn some money (maybe nice and give tipp) sometimes on Friday they throw parties with djs and good drinks

the location is beautiful and I liked the minimalist interior of this place. it is a student bar and restaurant and attracts many students from the street. that was bad. ordered a tuna salad and received a few tomatoes,...letters and tuna from a tuna which obviously did not try to distribute at least the thunfish on the dish. as I noticed, they just opened the dose and hit on the plate. It was of the poorest quality and as you say you eat first with your eyes, I have to say honestly that it was really unhappy. the service was nice and friendly, but a bit slow for my taste.

Café Blau exists for many many years now and belongs to Bonn almost as much as Beethoven and Telekom do. The prices are very fair, the food is great in my opinion (especially the tagliatelle with salmon) and the waiters are very friendly. In the...evening often with a DJ and great music. It's THE student-bar in Bonn. Only complaints I have: sometimes there aren't enough waiters so the waiting time becomes too long Also, since the portions are quite big it would be nice if it was possible to doggy-bag the food... So far they do not do it since they don't have the necessary plastic trays... Still, one of my favourite places in Bonn and I am surprised that the reviews so far aren't great trough...

Bonn is a charming city on the Rhine, known for Beethoven's birthplace. Typical dishes include Sauerbraten, Rhenish mussels, and Himmel un Ääd, a mix of mashed potatoes and apples.
