"I was initially impressed by the charming atmosphere of the cafe when I walked in. A young Asian lady, who I later found out was the chef, took my order. It was a bit odd to see her also working the front of house register while two colleagues chatted behind her. Unfortunately, when my order arrived, the waffle was severely burnt. Despite the burnt taste and biscuit-like consistency, the toppings of biscoff, whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream helped mask the bitterness. Thankfully, the chef swiftly replaced my order with a fresh waffle that was much more palatable. However, my experience was slightly tarnished when a different staff member agreed to bring a glass of water for my companion but instead walked outside to check her phone, leaving us without the water we requested. Overall, while the food was eventually improved, the workload seemed overwhelming for the staff and led to subpar service."

Love this little independent cafe. Interesting selection of coffees. I had the beetroot Mocha I believe it was…so nice. Really good selection on menu including for vegan and vegetarian. My new little fave to eat when I’m there.

We visited this nice cafe last Saturday. It was a cold morning and we were in search of a nice hot drink. So glad we stumbled across this cafe. We had the Gingery Gingerbread Hot Chocolate, Cappuccino and Old School Cake. It all hit the spot!!! Staff were friendly and drinks and cakes were perfect. Thanks

I was not very impressed with this restaurant. I ordered breakfast, but the young lady forgot to mention that they were out of sausage, which is a big part of the meal. I would recommend avoiding this place, as it is greasy, tables are dirty, and the staff just stand in the kitchen laughing and joking around. View menu

Went for breakfast this morning, upon entering the cafe there was no greeting from the server behind the counter. She didn’t even acknowledge us coming in, which we noticed straight away. Then we went to order, she didn’t seem the slightest bit bothered. It was quiet since it was early, but there was 0 atmosphere. Had we not said thank you once we finished and left, I don’t think the server would’ve said anything at all. Customer service is 0. Food was average.

I called in while visiting Leicester to eat one of the delicious Vegan Cakery cakes that they stock (I knew about it via VC social media posts . The cafe is cosy and welcoming with a nice clean loo. Its location is extremely handy for visiting the interesting old part of town (Guildhall, Richard III Visitor Centre etc . While I was in there I must have dropped my purse. I only noticed after an hour or so of sightseeing, but when I went back in a panic I was immediately handed the purse complete with all the contents. So five stars for kind and honest staff and (probably! customers too! I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Leicester.

"Went here last night at the tail end of an office Christmas party and we stumbled (quite literally inside having been turned away at a restaurant next door. It was past closing though their OPEN sign was still on. Anyway! Although Oppa was just about to close, they took us in, a group of 6, and stayed open until we finished. When I realized we were in a Korean restaurant, I was so excited; I've been searching for a good Korean restaurant in the midlands. My colleagues were much less so as they had never had Korean food and were unfamiliar with everything on the menu. I ordered for everyone and despite some of them being difficult one colleague kept asking for samosas, aah! the service was faultless. Staff were super attentive and helpful, patient, friendly, good fun, and extremely accommodating. Just perfect! And they stayed open for us quite late without rushing us out, what more can you ask for? Ok, so the food. It was SO so good and I'm already planning to go back. The kimchi was bang on how I like (a big deciding factor for me strongly fermented/pickled and spicy, and fresh. All the bulgogi (marinated meat , dolsot bibimbap (sizzling rice bowl , jjigae (stew/ramen style soups , seafood and extras that were served tasted just like I had hoped they would. Presentation was great everything looked properly appetizing and vegetables and seafood, etc were all clean and fresh. I was too busy stuffing my face and enjoying the moment and company to take photos, but the few photos I've seen on here are true to life. Other things people might be interested in: This restaurant is kitted out to cook Korean BBQ at/in/on your table. It is spacious, with lots of tables and room to move around. Decor is tasteful and minimal. It is clean and indeed I was warned by staff when going upstairs to the ladies' to be careful as the stairs and the toilets had all just been cleaned (and clean they were! . If you're looking for good Korean food, look no further. If you're looking to try Korean food for the first time, this is a great place to start. Go for it! Might see you there, if I can help it :D [I've copied this review over from where I originally posted it because this listing and the one for OPPA in Leicester are the same exact restaurant, FYI]"
