"Being from Australia with no knowledge of where to dine, a former colleague from Durham recommended St Vincent. We checked out the menu on line and decided on a 2 course meal special between 5:30 and 6:30 for GBP24. Our very charming waitress from Lithuania thought we were from down under and chatted knowledgebly about life in Newcastle. She was a delight. Our entree of sea bass carpaccio arrived. WOW. It was a meal in itself and beyond good. If I could I would have licked the plate. Then our baked hake on a medley of roasted capsicums arrived. Hake a boring fish, yet brought to life by the accompanying capsicums was enjoyed by each mouthful. The hake crispy on the outside and tender on the inside was clean yet filling. Do yourself a favour and dine at St Vincent. Oh and the wine pretty good too"

Quite exceptional experience. Sat at the bar with attentive service and superb food and wine. Greeted warmly, oysters, followed by charcuterie and then steak and scallops. Wine chosen by the team was excellent and one I wouldn't have chosen myself. Bustling but warm atmosphere. Highly, highly recommended.

I chose St Vincent’s to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriends. We have a wide range of dietary requirements within our group, and I wanted to go somewhere that could cater for us all. I was a bit nervous as I hadn’t visited St Vincent’s before but had read so many good reviews, and they didn’t disappoint! We had a great time, and we all had a great selection to chose from, especially my Coeliac and vegetarian friends who usually have little to no choice. Margaritas were spot on too!

What a vibrant and relaxed restaurant this is. Front of house staff really on the ball. Warmly welcomed and regularly revisited to ensure all was well. Lovely to see seabass cerviche on the menu. Chicken simply presented but such flavour. Husband had hake with peperonata splendid! Appreciation passed on to kitchen staff via one of the waitresses and I was welcomed into kitchen to speak directly to all involved behind the scenes. This is quality food, top class service from everyone. Keep up the already fantastic work.

I went to the restaurant on Friday night at 8:30 during restaurant week and it was very busy! The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The food came out quickly and was all delicious. The deep fried olives were amazing! The lasagna was also delicious, although a little more sauce would have been nice. The white wine was also excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It is a great place to dine and enjoy drinks with friends, family, or for a romantic date night with your partner. I will definitely be coming back soon.
