"Il Trappeto is divided in two areas; the outside terrace, garland lit with tables built around beautiful olive trees, and the underground cantina, carved right in the fresh stone. We chose to dine in the latter, wanting just a quick pizza that night. Despite the great and generous cocktails, the food was somewhat sad and the service very slow and messy. When in Italy, and in Puglia no less, you expect to eat a pizza better tasting than the ones made in your home country. It was not the case at Il Trappeto. One particular pizza, the one offering shrimp and asparagus was appallingly poor industrial frozen shrimp (for a location so close to the sea ?! and the asparagus also traded for paper thin slices of zucchini. Had we gone to the restaurant area, the terrace, things might 've been different, but it 's unlikely we 'll go back to find out. At least, one doesn 't pay too expensively ones mistake. A good mark for the decor, the antipasti, and the drinks."

Place has warm rustic setting in a former olive oil mill. Rolling hills cosset the view. Food delicious. We found the inclusiveness infectious and staff went all out to satisfy our unusual requests with professional aplomb

It's not the first time I eat at the Trappeto. I found myself great because the food is excellent, the beautiful location, an ancient oil mill converted into local, and the staff extremely attentive to the needs of the customer.

The restaurant is supposed to be really fancy but it’s an average restaurant. The people are very nice, but the food not that good. We ate paposche, pasta and desert but it wasn’t very good. There is a lot of improvements to be done.

It's an osteria hidden in the maze of little roads, not easy to find but worth the effort. Specialties of Gargano are served by fast and professional staff under the supervision of the host. We enjoyed good food and wine at a reasonable price (79 euro).

This place was so great we dined there two nights in a row...the first night pesce and the second night carne. Eduardo the host was wonderfully friendly and helpful. He showed us photos of the 1000 year old olive oil cave before he converted it to a restaurant in 2003. The food was exceptional ...recommend the calamari and the fava bean primis. Has a great wine menu as well. Would definitely recommend.

Loved this place! Our daughter was hungry but most dining places were still closed. We were lucky enough to run into this restaurant. Even though we arrived an hour and a half before the restaurant formally opened for dinner, they welcomed us and the chef offered to prepare something for our little girl. She asked for orecchiette with pomodoro and she later said it was the best orecchiette she had ever tried : All the staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. We went for a walk and returned for a proper dinner when the place formally opened. We absolutely loved the food, atmosphere, service... everything!!! They also have a beautiful, cozy, relaxing terrace. I would give this place more...
