"I'm a meat person that don't eat meat and went with fish lovers who sang the glory of the fish the ordered. There's no meat on the menu at all but still a choice of pimientos pardon, grilled cheese, Canary potatoes and salad so I was ok with that especially as the home made mojos were one of the best I've tasted in Tenerife. Service was excellent even though no English spoken here, hand gesticulating goes a long way, friendly and with a smile. Prices seemed very good, but I was not paying so cannot be definite on this score; I happened to glance at the bill and it came to just under 30 euros for 2 of us, that was with starter, main, 1/2 litre house wine (which was really good) and a soft drink. Easy to get to by bus as it's on the Los Gigantes bus route, get off in Alcala and head towards the coast, about a 5 minutes walk. Great place to visit anyway as on a clear day you can see Homers and Palma"

We have dined in Casa Juana(Smoky Jo's to those who knew the area) for many years, It recently has bee refurbished so we had lunch there, February 2018. The grilled Sama was excellent, as were the fish balls, baby squid and salad. A full, large glass of house wine was about 2 euros. The restaurant is near the main road out of Alcala to San Juan or up the hill from the main square. parking is fairly easuy nearby. Good food, reasonable prices.

Been staying in Alcala for years but never knew this restaurant. Up the hill behind the square, looks like 1 of the houses from the front (except for the signage). Inside it’s much bigger than you think. Fresh fish on display to choose from. Didn’t see a menu just asked for the fish I wanted and was offered salad and canary potatoes to go with. Wine (asked for white fruity) was delicious! Beer was also available although I think they expected you to drink wine. Loads of good red wines around the room on display. Didn’t stop for coffee or dessert so can’t comment on that. I had ‘churney’ which is a white juicy fish with minimal well defined and easy to extract bones and my husband had longest...
