"If italian is what you're after, I highly recommend Casa Italiana in Chadwell Heath as the place to have it.From the greeting at the door by Julian our amazing waiter we had an experience not a meal. The place had a wonderful relaxed atmosphere and the food was just delicious. We started with gamborini prawns that Julian recommended and they were delicious, to then the seafood pasta and lasagne (both as yummy as each other). There was nothing that i could find fault in the place was clean with a quiet peaceful atmosphere, the service was attentive, funny and friendly and the food just topped it all off. If you want somewhere atmospheric and peaceful to enjoy great times, this is a place to do it. Bon apetito."

Great Italian food. If you are a tourist try to go in a bit of an off time, between 2pm and 5pm, the place will be very quite..

After several years of dining here, the food remains excellent. The chef is charming, the portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. Why dine anywhere else?

I went here for a photo shoot for Uber Eats and all the dishes smelt very good. I tried all the dishes shot and they were fantastic. My girlfriend and I decided to come the Saturday after to enjoy the pizza....and we really enjoyed it. A true Italian pizza... finally! Fantastic food and kindly staff. If I could, I'd have given 6 stars. Thanks guy.

We have not dined here for a few months so tbought as its local we would try this restaurant this evening. We were not made welcome and felt rushed. Food was ok. First bottle of wine lovely. Second bottle not good. Replaced with house white. Nice. More or less got shoved out of restaurant at 10pm as they wanted to go home. No complimentary drinks which we have always had. We will not be returning any time soon.

We booked a table for 7pm on a Sunday the day before for my Dads birthday. We arrived a little early to be greeted by the waiter who immediately told us that the chef was leaving in 5 minutes and so they could not serve us.We asked why he did not call us but he couldn't give a reason, and kept only repeating that the chef would be leaving in a few minutes, and so we had to leave. We have been to this restaurant many times in the past and, if they had called us and asked us to come to the restaurant earlier, would have gladly done so. As it stands we will not be returning and will be letting our friends know not to trust a booking at this restaurant.

Have quite enjoyed coming here in the past. However, a recent visit was not much fun. A nearly empty restaurant on a Saturday evening should have rung alarm bells but we were seated by a friendly waiter and ordered food. Asked for a bottle of Rose wine but was told that they had none. Perhaps you'd like Prosecco? No, we'll have a bottle of Montepulciano please. Sorry we have none. What about Prosecco? Eventually they came up with a poor quality Pinot Grigio, Pasta dish I had was too salty but otherwise would have been quite good and the accompanying salad was fine.. It's a shame as it is the only local Italian restaurant that isn't part of a chain.

"The new lunch menu isn 't great, I loved the old one where you could get a smashed cheeseburger and fries for £7/8. I ordered recently, had the chicken thigh burger, which there were several issues with unfortunately. The menu states that your meals will come with fries, they don 't, everything comes with croquette potatoes/tater tots. Whatever you want to call them, they are not fries, and Christina 's fries were one of the best things about the place before! Also, half of mine were cold and slightly stale after obviously being kept in the new warmers they have out front. Your new style of service is very strange, where the person is out front and all the food is pre-cooked and kept in pots. The fact I was there for nearly 40 mins and saw the server never change his gloves and touch multiple meats and containers was strange too, especially when he 's also preparing vegetarian options alongside the meat. Unfortunately, my chicken was dry in places and although the flavours were good, it wasn 't hot. The burger was also drowned in coleslaw, which although I like it, doesn 't have to be heaped on the burger so much. Also, sorry but at £11 £4 higher than the previous lunch deal) I think I would go elsewhere. I don 't mind paying that much if I feel I am getting fresh, hot food and good value, but with food that isn 't hot and isn 't as described, I wouldn 't pay that much. It 's a shame, as Christina 's has been somewhere I have enjoyed going to in the past. Seen the reply below, sorry I should have been more explicit, the food was mostly terrible and mostly cold. Why would I give it another go when you couldn 't even get the basics right, like ensuring food is hot? The server didn 't change his gloves, but agree that he wasn 't preparing the vegetarian dishes out front, so I was wrong about that. However, £11 isn 't competitive at all, when I can literally go to Ripple road for a sit in Turkish grill for £7... ‍"

"very nice, fairly large, covered area outside, with huge sunshades to protect against the summer sun or more likely the English rain. and there are sometimes delicious bbq (boiled with beautiful veggie options separately on film) on Saturday and Sunday afternoon early evening. check them beforehand. great views at sunset over the roding where you can see the wrecks or the old barges and try to cross the river with the two small bridges that you can see in the far away. frequent changing cocktails and mocktails, filled and now beer and stout, weine and beautiful fruity apple wines to preserve their interest.
