"I arrived at the team rooms just before 9am, to be welcomed by the farm owner himself, Alan. Lovely man. I was seated by the window which had a fabulous view of the surrounding area, very picturesque. Having made my breakfast choice, I went to pay at the till, to be met by a beautiful young lady called Amy to whom was very helpful. As I started to drink my tea, my hot breakfast arrived which tasted absolutely fantastic. I'm glad I arrived and ate when I did, as the room was getting very busy. I will certainly be returning again, thank you Amy for making my breakfast most enjoyable. Such a lovely lady."

Had a great afternoon tea today, best I've ever had. All the food was fresh and homemade, delicious! Great waitress as well.

We had a really great family lunch at this cafe. The quality of the food was really good and the service was excellent, In addition, the price of the food was very reasonable. It is very likely that we will return to this cafe quite soon.

A really lovely place to go with friends!! My friend and I go each month for a light lunch and we love it!! We always try at least one of the cakes and.... they are DELICIOUS. Definitely recommend a visit! It can get busy so book in advance.

I went to find out where the beehives were located. Nobody could help and didn't seem that bothered with me as I wasn't buying any lunch. Their farm shop used to have a wide range of local food and deli items but sadly, it's almost like an after thought these days

Cattows tearoom is a nice big airy venue but the breakfast offering is overpriced and poor quality. Scrambled eggs over cooked/rubbery, pancakes seemed shop bought/microwaved and were lukewarm. I have been previously when the smashed avocado was clearly out of a jar which is unforgivable for the price charged. Some staff are great but others seem surly.

Went to the Halloween Farm today. Lots of fun activities for the kids. Staff are all amazing, friendly and helpful and make lots of effort to make the day special. We would like to give a particular thank you to the lovely man who made sure we got a trip on the Halloween Train so our 4 year old didn’t miss out before we had to leave to come home. We will be back next year.

We booked a private room for an afternoon tea my daughter’s baby shower. Contact with Cattows from start to finish was great. It was an easy room for us to decorate. 3 guests had dietary requirements which were catered for perfectly. The tea was presented beautifully and there was a lovely choice. We thought it was very good value for money. The staff were attentive, coming in during the afternoon to see if we needed more drinks. All of our guests who hadn’t visited Cattows before were very impressed. Thankyou

Fantastic fireworks and great twisted circus acts bargain at £15 for both! Shame about all the mud, which I guess can’t be helped with all the rain we’ve had We have a big car with 4 wheel drive so thankfully were ok but better infrastructure needed next year as lots of cars were wheel spinning and having to be towed out Also needed separate pedestrian hand standing away from the one the cars were using as entry exit was a bit dangerous especially with lack of lighting Had a great time though and will be back next year if the infrastructure is sorted out Also could have done with mulled wine cider :

"Nipped in for a quick bite on a Friday evening. We went up to what looked like the restaurant bar and asked if it was possible to get a table but were directed to the main bar to ask about this. The place was packed- getting served at the internal bar would have been a bit of a fight. Had a similar experience on a visit here before because there's not much space around the bar so you tend to get an impenetrable crowd instead of any sort of line. Eventually managed to get the attention of a member of staff and were told the restaurant was fully booked, however we could sit outside and order food at the bar to our outside table. Would have saved us some time if that was communicated through the team and relayed by the first person we asked instead of sending us to queue elsewhere. We did order to an outside table, and the food was excellent. The small pizzas really are quite small. But if you have a couple of sides they're perfect to not overstuff you. If you want to just eat pizza probably get a large. Also they had really interesting topping selections on the pizzas- I had the spiced aubergine, creme fraiche and honey. It was absolutely delicious. The chips were hot and well seasoned, the greek salad also really nice- I did miss the addition of peppers and would possibly remove the pea shoots and sub in the peppers to improve this and keep it more authentic though. Drinks were nice and the atmosphere inside was quite cosy and outside had a nice vibe with the tasteful lightning and wooden furniture. Would definitely return (but probably make a reservation. It's busy for a reason!"

"We stayed for one night prior to a flight at East Midlands Airport and everything was excellent, from the warm, welcoming staff, to the rooms and the simply delicious food (evening and breakfast). Firstly the pub: food, drinks, restaurant… All excellent. The sign of a great pub for ale drinkers is one with knowledgeable staff who are keen to let you sample before deciding on a pint. This was the case here and we worked through all five real ales during the afternoon and evening! Also a great selection of wines, and everything served in the correct glasses I loved the attention to detail. Then the evening meal in the restaurant area of the pub: this was also excellent, with a great menu and top food, in plentiful portions. Really delicious all ‘round. We didn’t manage desserts but starters and mains all great. The pub/restaurant is well presented inside and out, with a lovely beer garden at the back. Secondly, the hotel rooms: we were in rooms 1 2 and both were lovely. They were well presented, comfy beds, nice hospitality tray (with fresh milk in the in room fridge), nice toiletries. The room rate included breakfast, which was all freshly cooked to order and once again, a great selection. I would 100% stay here again, especially if going to/from East Midlands airport which was less than a 10 minute drive. A lovely, traditional country Inn with excellent food and hospitality. Thank you to the full team."
