"We stopped here after taking our daughter to the sutton bonnington campus of nottingham university. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered the chicken, gammon and spinach pie and burger for our son and they tasted wonderful. The pie was lovely and the...mixed veg was cooked perfectly. After a tearful goodbye at the campus it made us feel better. We will definitely be going back on one of our many visits."

Had an excellent supper instead of cooking in our motor home on a chilly, drizzly evening. We were met with such enthusiasm a real joy. All the staff (and locals) were very friendly and eager to please. I would definitely recommend.

tonight we had the most amazing meal, eating was amazing and the atmosphere friendly. nothing was too much annoyed and we were looking for, we didn't have to look for employees to ask for something. the prices are reasonable, but eating was so high quality. An excellent pub and restaurant. We visited for Sunday lunch with our dog and one member of our party with very particular dietary requirements, the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The food was very good but the service really makes this...pub stand out. I would thoroughly recommend a visit, we will definitely be returning.

Took advantage of the eat out to help out scheme when looking for a place to have dinner while away from home and this place didn't disappoint! Lovely course meal with plenty of choice for great fixed price. Staff were very friendly and food...was piping hot and beautifully presented. For our first experience of eating out in covid times it was lovely. Will return when next in the area.
