"in the kuhviertel (kreuzstraße 37/38, 48143 münster,) my hope for an interesting experience was high. bars and restaurants in this section tend mainly to students and the carvete is the oldest student tavern in münster (guided by students) it is a shame that I did not know that this was a small table in the front at a window. they also offer different types of beer as well as wine and other drinks. the service was friendly and very attentive. the decoration (at least in the section where I was) is extremely interesting and a must-see (I won't give it away) the only negatiw was the Wifi offer. it was necessary for me because vodafone only offers gprs here and I had a few emails to write. getting on the wifi is unnecessarily difficult, they connect and are then directed very slowly to a Facebook page where they need to take their pants down (I can just finish the exposition a little), then they need to like the tavern and then get them access. I have never experienced such an onboarding process. to deteriorate the dinge, connectivity is unlikely to be slow. Sure, they should not be on their handy while they are here. so they forget the Wifi experience, the cave is a place where they have to go when they visit the hardest! but be aware that they will not open until 6 o'clock."

poor service. we waited for almost 30 minutes for a simple beer. on the other side, great atmosphere with fantastic music and good menu for a fair price in the center of the old city.

first night in munster after arrival from the states. in the mood for a typical German meal and caved not disappointed. flavorful carving with mushrooms, roasted carrots and a green salad, plus some good German beer completely satisfied. friendly service and a fun atmosphere. in addition to the ambiente View menu

this is an excellent place to stop and sit outside to have lunch and a beer. the service is helpful and they have an English menu. eating seems aimed at the younger, trendy generation with the example green noodles and many vegetarian options. I had a snack for lunch and a cellar beer while I was sitting in the sun.

Cavete rides on the fact that it is one of the oldest student bars in town, oldest meaning from medieval times. Since the time I studied here 20 years ago the interior hasn't changed which is fine with me. It did feel a bit tired...and sloppy. The waitress didn't react at all when I mentioned that the olives in my food were bad, generally food is not their strong point. I just wish the whole place was dusted off a bit and had tighter management.
