"I visited the restaurant tonight for dinner after making a reservation earlier in the week. We received a warm welcome upon entering and were promptly asked for our drink order. The menu offered a wide selection of dishes at reasonable prices. My friend ordered the freshly battered haddock and was very pleased with his choice. I had the homemade steak pie with mashed potatoes, which was tender and delicious. For dessert, we enjoyed a fresh cream meringue nest with strawberries, sauce, and ice cream, as well as the sticky toffee pudding. Both were delicious. The service was attentive and friendly. I am delighted that we chose to dine at Ceres Inn. The atmosphere in the charming village was great. I am already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you."

Great wee pub with a carefully chosen selection of great beers and a range of whiskies and gins especially. Friendly and welcoming, with themed events (recommended). Good place for a stopover on the Pilgrim’s Way walk also.

Very nice, typical , country pub. Great beer, whiskey and Gin offerings. The food was good pub food. Very rustic. A place the locals eat and drink. If your in the area stop in for a bite and a pint. It’s good pub food , not gourmet but tasty

We were spending a lot weekend in Ceres and hadn't been to a pub for nearly 18 months. This pub was just what we needed. Dog friendly, Covid safe, and friendly. Served a beer I never heard of, but really liked called the Fifie from Ovenstone. We both are, me a burger, my Partner had a Scotch egg. We enjoyed our meal, the other customers and the staff View menu

My magnificent partner and I returned the to the village of Ceres. We saw the Ceres Inn was doing takeaway and ordered two fish suppers. We ordered for collection inside a 15 minute window. Collected from the pub on time. When returned to Holiday home with the suppers we were very pleased with our portions both in size and quality. Felt like good value for money served up by friendly staff.

We had a delightful dinner for two at a pub located just down the road from our holiday cottage on our first night. One of us ordered a chicken burger, while the other had a halloumi burger, along with a pint of cider and a pint of Deuchers. The small pub serves food until 7.30 pm, and we were fortunate to secure the last available table. The staff were lovely and provided excellent service.

Visited here on Friday the 15th of October. Friendly enough owner and barman. We had our 2 golden retrievers with us as it is suppose to be a dog friendly pub. Unfortunately did not find this To be the case. Owner just kept Saying some people don't like dogs When eating. Well don't come to a Supposedly dog friendly pub. It Either is or it is not. We checked Before we stayed in ceres. Very Disappointing as only pub there. View menu

After being disappointed by Meldrums Restaurant, we decided to give the Ceres Inn a try for dinner. The pub was crowded with locals when we arrived, but the owner was very hospitable and made room for us with some rearranging of seats and tables. We enjoyed a delicious fish and chips dinner by the cozy wood burner fire. The Ceres Inn is a charming historic village pub with a great atmosphere. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Reserved a table upon arrival we were shown to our table we waited 15 minutes for a menu eventually gave up and went inside to ask for one. Had to go inside again to order. They said it would take 15 minutes for a burger it was closer to an hour! The boy from the kitchen eventually came out and dropped the boxes on our table. Now you can’t expect much for a £10 burger and chips however the bun was rock hard (microwaved? and burger was bland. Staff were somewhat apologetic. Outside is decent for drinks however if you are looking for pub grub look elsewhere.
