Absolutely brilliant perfect food ,fantastic waitress and the lager was excellent nothing else to say . We were going to the high field hotel but they filled every table with reservation notes their loss was our gain .

During a visit to see family, we decided to stop by this restaurant on a whim. We were greeted by friendly staff who managed to find us a table even though they were busy. The food was delicious and definitely worth a visit, and the prices were reasonable as well. View menu

Called at the drive through( don't use this unless you have a very small car,it's not very well DESIGNED AT ALL. Ordered mini fish chips n peas+ chicken kebab meat n chips. Got home to find only f,c,p, no kebab meat n chips despite my order being repeated back to me at point of ordering AND at the collection point. Won't be using this place again despite it being local.

Called into the take away for fish and chips at 7.pm last Saturday Service was quick and efficent. The portions were very generous. However the batter was tough and leathery and the beautiful piece of fish was dry and very chewy. Couldnt eat it at all. Suspect it had been standing for a long time. Chips were tasteless too. Very disappointing especially at £11 each. Wont be going back.

Just had takeaway haddock and chips. I polished off the lot and I am really full almost to the point of being so bloated I couldn't eat another bite, but do you know what? If I had more of that fish I'd definitely give it a go. It was sooo good. I don't usually review things online but if I only ever leave one positive review across the whole internet, that fish would deserve it. Will definitely be back. View menu

We are frequent customers of this restaurant, but on our last visit, we found it to be very cold. People kept their coats on throughout the meal, and even the plates that the food was served on were cold. As a result, the food quickly became cold as well. There was a small heater visible, but it did not provide enough warmth to make a difference. While this place may not be the most affordable option for fish and chips, it is best to visit when the temperatures are warmer.

Family get together before Christmas, lunchtime booking it was freezing in the restaurant. It did warm up as time went on more people arrived. Food all really nice, I had large cod chips, very good. The service was just a bit off, 1 order (pie) was wrong, brought fish instead. We ordered 3 curry, only 1 arrived. One member of the party had tea, served in a mug with tea bag hot water! Nowhere to put tea bag (no side plate or saucer). Surely in restaurant it should be in tea pot? Enjoyed the food (as did whole party) but service could have been better.

After a long drive from Cornwall we stayed just outside of Chesterfield for 1 night. Opened the Laptop and looked for Gluten-free fish and chips in Chesterfield. We chose Chester's because you could eat in. We weren't disappointed, My wife had a small Cod meal and I had a large Gluten-free Haddock with all the trimmings. We were shown to our table, ordered our meal and within about 10 minutes it was on our table. Very attentive staff, can't fault anything about our dinning experience. Gluten-free was superb. They even have there own car park. Will definitely visit again when in the area. View menu
