"We went to Chez Feraud on the recommendation of our B 'n B hosts. The food was, they said, like French home cooking. We walked past the restaurant during the day and went in to make a mid-week dinner booking for 7:30. "Come any time", we were told. On arrival at just after 7.00, we found the restaurant empty, and no other guests arrived until after 7.30. By the time we left, the restaurant was full.We only wanted main course and deserts. We had coq au vin and scallops for the mains and rice pudding and creme brulee for the deserts - not exotic, but what we fancied at the time. The mains were perfectly-cooked and flavoursome and the deserts were good, but not outstanding, items of standard fare. The service was prompt and friendly and the atmosphere quiet and pleasant (We sat outside, under the vine-covered facade, and small seeds kept dropping from the vines onto our table, but that was only a minor inconvenience). We left feeling quite satisfied with the meal and the cost, even if it was not a great Fine Dining experience.Would go there again if ever back in Aix."

Excellent atmosphere and cuisine. Better book before going. And don't forget to visit the 12th century well downstairs.

We arrived around 1pm to find an almost empty restaurant and got kicked out simply because we had 3 kids (not even young ones). The staff was rude and they simply lied to us. Stay away if you're traveling with kids or without.

WhenI say not good I'm being charitable. Really a poor meal in just a wonderful environment. I had the canard terrine that was amateurish at best, and then the poulet that was way over flavored with herbs and citron. save ur money!!!

Monsieur Feraud, lui-même, waited on us. He is very smiley and a bit cheeky, which made the visit all the more fun. He explained that his family also has a vineyard, so naturally we tried the Feraud rosé, which was just right. The food was generous and delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and charming. We would definitely return.

We had planned to have dinner in another place, but ended up at Chez Feraud. Not a bad decision. The restaurant is small, and not one you find too easily, although it is only a few minutes walk away from the main tourist streets. We had not booked, and did not get a table outside, but had a nice dinner. The food was excellent, and the service was great.

While we stayed in Ax-en-Provence for 4 nights, we went there twice since we just loved atmosphere of restaurant and area, and of course wine&food. The place of restaurant was a bit off from busy streets, so we didn't hear noise much, and enjoyed food, wine and talk!! We saw a causal nice wine bar just around the corner of Chez Feraud place, but we decided to come to Chez Feraud, which we believed it paid off!!

Turning the corner you this ivy covered building and a street hosed down for diners and you realise you have probably discovered a hidden gem. You are greeted by owners, mother and son, who are a delight. The food, french provincial, is excellent especially the Clementine with mandarin sorbet( heaven on a plate). The service is impeccable and surrounds beautiful. If you in Aix make this your dinner destination and you won't be disappointed.

Food was quite good BUT pricing was terribel. 8 EUR for a bottle of water AND we ordered canneloni for our daugther (9 years), suddenly on the bill there was 23 EUR for her meal (a complete menue of 2 dishes althouh she only ordered and consumed 1 dish)- After claiming the lady told us that a reduction is not possible (invoicing the canneloni only). NOT to be recommended for people who have kids and who like to consume their bottel of wine with water. NOT AT FAIR DEAL AT ALL!
