"Our party of 9 had a family meal yesterday Sunday and, having called in to have a Noodle bar meal a few days before, checked to find out how they could cope with two persons who would need advice as one Vegan and the other with Lactose intolerance, nothing containing tomatoes and no fresh fruit. Separate meals of ample a proportions and great selection provided especially for them and we had the usual Buffet choice which was great. Very caring and personal attention. Service not found too often but appreciated by us. Also compare prices with others, this is very reasonable. Speak as you find !!"

"I just returned from a trip to the south with my friend, and I was really hungry. We spotted a sign for the Highwayman Pub, marked with a knife and fork symbol, and decided to check it out. It was around 8:30 PM, and to our surprise, they were happy to serve us at that hour. The staff made us feel incredibly welcome, which I can't emphasize enough, especially since none of us had been there before. I had a fantastic steak, while my friend’s mother enjoyed a burger that she rated very highly. The portion sizes were generous, especially with the chips, and the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet, making it quite comfortable. I highly recommend this place!"

"I saw on Google for Sunday roasts near me, the Magpie Combs Ford came up, we went in pub got a nice greeting from owner/staff and some locals, nice selection of beers, ales, apple wine on tap, frying come in small, medium and large, a local jokes have the big, then you don't have to eat til Tuesday. We have made ourselves for medium-sized, generous amount of meat with the choice of beef, pork meat, gammon between us all had 3, they were delicious and tender, then you have roasted pipes, roasted potatoes, filling, then you have about 10 vegs to choose from, the cauliflower/Brokoli cheese the sauce was so good, all the vegs cooked only perfect, then socen The Desserts list is also great, we had Belgium waffle and Marmelade Poly view photos, the Custard was so creamy. We have booked in advance, would definitely recommend this. Thank you to the Magpie, my only regret is that I am not a local because this is definitely my local pub if I did. Will be worth the trip."

"my wife and I had a meal here a few days ago. both the main course and the desert were excellent. that was good when we were, but this time it was better. 20 7 17: I held a stowmarket striders trail run here yesterday. it was an excellent place! we had 75 runners who really appreciate the situation, eat and drink. I'm sure we'll come back. also the best burger I had for a long time:"

"Sadly, since our last visit, this cafe has gone downhill. The menu has become more limited and the cake options have been reduced, which is a shame as the selection of cakes used to be wonderful. The idea of serving food on a wooden block covered in greaseproof paper is not my idea of fun, but maybe it helps to reduce the washing up ? The only cake offering for gluten intolerance is a chocolate brownie. Do people think that is all we eat, as it it the only offering in most poor cafes. The decor is not as clean as it was and it seems a bit run down. I am guessing that the only people who use this cafe now are people who are there for meetings. What a shame, as this used to be a favourite, but not any more!"
