"Like anybody else, we decided one day we wanted to get a Chinese takeaway for tea and we decided on Chinese Garden in Latchford village. Personally I've never been here before so I was up for first impressions. Firstly we ordered to collect and at the time there was road maintenance taking place which closed off the main road to get to the takeaway so we would've appreciated when we called, a heads up about that so we could've prepared. The place inside does look a little dated and unkept, one example is the back cushions on the waiting couch had fallen and I'm guessing just been left there. Nothing major but still. I ordered a special curry (containing various meat) and boiled rice and credit where it's due it was delicious. The meat was a big size and the prawns were king prawns, not the tiny ones many other places give you and it wasn't swamped in onion like takeaway curry dishes normally are. On this occasion I would recommend but I've not been multiple times to try various dishes. The lady we spoke to in person when we got there to collect our meal was friendly and respectful."

1000% Recommended! Best Chinese food we have had in a long long time!! So fresh, tasty and hot on delivery. Delivery guy was lovely too. And it’s one of the only Chinese on JE near us with a high hygiene rating too!

We normally use a different Chinese takeaway but thought we’d try this as it’s significantly cheaper. Essentially, it’s ok but the servings are much smaller than the place we normally use-certainly we didn’t have anywhere near as many leftovers as usual. The food was reasonable, but possibly slightly overdone. Delivery was quick. Decent value for money, but I don’t think we’ll be ordering again.
