"who wants to escape from the harbour of the diversity of Portuguese restaurants, is really hard to do, and so the road leads almost inevitably to the Dietmar-Koel-Straße nr. 8, in the “Ciao Ana” which is claimed both by name and by the card and by the language habit of the service forces according to an Italian. who appears early enough in the evening has no problem getting a table. we even had the luck to sit next to the entrance on an open wing window and to be able to watch the drive in the free. the top who was willing to talk with us Italian was nice and relatiw flink. so we could order without waiting times. madame chose a mixed salate as an appetizer that was fresh and crisp, but perhaps could have been a little fine-leaved. then calf liver with sage. the leber very well roasted, in the amount perhaps slightly dimensioned for good eaters, for that there were more kartoffels and brokkoli, the sage in the sauce slightly moistened. overall neat, but the kitchen should also pay attention to the outside and wipe the edges of the plate when glued with the sauce. I got a really nice calzone, which was fed with capern on request, but a few at least. the requested olio picante was really picant, which is by no means self-evident. So nothing was to be put out, but was a good one. the house wine was neat. a small inconsistency during the order was compensated for with the bill, so that the evening was actually pleasant. but there was something else, so back! mineral water was also ordered to eat and now perhaps explained why several times during the evening apparently coworkers from the opposite Portuguese restaurant with plastic baskets crossed the road to rush in direction “Ciao Ana”. a view of the water bottle and behold there was not about untilmarckquelle or san pellegrino, but “Carvalhelhos”. the water tasted first like sleeping feet and really creating water across Europe is a hit into the contor of each person who strives to think and live in an environmentally friendly way. of course this also applies to the above mentioned san pellegrino. the above, addressed, lapidar said that the owner is just portugiese – with which the circle closes again. you do not escape them in the Portuguese quarter."

it was 24 degrees, we ordered beer and for snacks we would like to order a cut pizza and...as we did not order anymore, we were kicked out.

we drove to the tourist guide of the bike tour in this district (Portuguese district). it was very crowded, but we had a quick spot. delicious pizzas, more affordable and faster service. we got the appetizer (knoblauchpizza, super tasty!) at the same time with our main dish (pizza thunfisch and pasta, also very tasty).

if you are in hamburg and have a desire for an italian, here you are quite well removed. best to order pizza then you never do something wrong, because pasta dishes are often very small. But for a nice evening to two you can do that well. cellar very attentive and the red wine / house wine also ok, even if it comes from portugal. But what was better earlier, on which bruschetta was always you pumice, which is missing now and again. View menu

I drove with my family to hamburg to spend the day. everything was perfect, but this restaurant. it was winter, but the owner didn't want to close the door because they also have tables on the terrace, so the interior of the restaurant was very narrow and we had to eat with our motels at lunchtime. I had to wait 20 minutes until they bring it? bill and they didn't even say thank you or "good day" a place to which you can never return.

lunch today on 15.8.17 in ciao ana in the portugiesenviertel of hamburg! as touris we had no plan and went where the most was going. a very pacifiable italian who remembers the 50’s and 60’s. adorable! we ordered us pizza, although the day card has offered plenty of choice. pizza for 5,50 ! there came giant pizzas with a teig I really only know from italy! we paid for 3 drinks with 2 giant pizzas only 22,00 ! absolute top price performance! we would definitely go back!

we have been to visit in hamburg more often there. eating was always very delicious and also according to typical Italian art! the waiters were always very warm and attentive. sometimes also a bit stressed, because at the weekend the local is very, very well visited. that is also the only point of criticism. Unfortunately, you sit in the very narrow and sometimes not very comfortable. that we found a bit of a pity, because it invites to stay locally, even with the great location. View menu

I and my friend were there this Easter weekend. I had a pizza (miss italia) and my friend got carbonara. the place was full of people, but they found a small table for us and we didn't have to wait long for the food. our waiter was a man in the sixties, nice guy, didn't speak much English and they didn't have a menu? in English, but in an Italian restaurant you're never really lost when the names of the courses are Italian, every real fan of Italian food will prevail :) that was extremely good and more than enough for us, including a free bread basket with something allioli.

from the outside it looked very good, but the first impression fooled!Service:Two waiters guarded the outside area, one could have gone through it as a doorstep. The order recorded and the drinks placed on the table. unfortunately not properly listened and instead of a 0.5 lt carafe table wine brought a large carafe.Too happy after complaining only 0.5 off.Essen:We had ordered from the recommendation of the house a calf carving with gorgonzola sauce and penne arrabiata. the pennants were quite ok, edible but not an experience. The calfs carving was rather an old cow, fried, burned a bit and garnished with a gorgonzola sauce which had seen thin and only little gorgonzola. the linings should be...

"There's always a question (in my mind, anyway) as to Michelin's accuracy/usefulness outside of France. In the US, it's not very helpful at all and in Europe ex-France, I've found it hit and miss. Haerlin represented only my second stab at a two-star in Germany and the first meal (Heinz Winkler), while a thoroughly wonderful overall experience, felt like the second star might have been a stretch. Not so at Haerlin, this was a two-star meal that stands fork-to-fork with any I can remember. The food is stylized to within an inch of its life, but close to flawless in both conception and execution. Outside of a large selection of generally unremarkable breads and a luke-warm roasted onion broth added to an amuse at table side that probably should have been hotter, the meal was simply one perfect dish after another. Maybe the sorbet intermezzo was a little old school in such a fashion forward meal, but - hey - it was delicious! Keep it.The room is suitably formal, luxurious in a traditional style, and quite comfortable. The pace of service might be a little leisurely for some (I ate alone and the four-course menu (seven + courses, including amuses, etc) pushed it a bit, stretching just over three hours. However, the friendly and attentive staff kept an eye out the entire time and stopped by if the time between courses presented the opportunity. The somm, in particular, was a great diversion, visiting from time to time to discuss the varied and interesting wines on offer. He provided useful insight into the outstanding selection of trocken Rieslings on the list. He guided me to a 2001 Burklin-Wolf GG that, at Eu 150, was both a great bottle of mature white and a tremendous value for a wine of this quality in this type of restaurant. (Good luck finding a white burgundy of this quality at this price at any multi-star restaurant - or at retail, for that matter.) He also suggested a wonderful German Pinot Noir by the glass that worked perfectly with the meat course and wasn't terribly expensive. The list is extensive, but not the tome you see at some restaurants, but don't be fooled - wine service at Haerlin is both a major plus and represents notable value in the context of multi-star restaurants.I'm not going to argue two-star vs three-star because that distinction often seems to be kind of mysterious (and tangentially related to the food), but I will say that this place certainly deserves two stars. I had just a flat-out great meal. If you can work in a visit, Haerlin should be high on your list."
