"we visited last night and had a great evening. we booked, although it was probably not necessary, as it was quite quiet. on Monday they can take their own wein without a cork fee that we did. Given the cheapest bottle wein is almost £18 it is worth doing. we thought we had a starter, decided against if he had hit the appetit. we had both cheese and bevel cakes that came with an salat, but we ordered regular chips than a side that should probably really be included as at £3 portioning it took the price to over £16 ever. You could say that this was for essentially cake and chips expensive and I can not argue otherwise, except to say we agreed that it was absolutely delicious. each cake would have served really two people and was full of tasty cheese and whistle filling. the baked was delicious and it was all freshly cooked. we were very full, but I'm embarrassed to say that I have accused a Sicilian lemon sponge with ice. as with the torte it was freshly cooked and resembled a soufle as it was served. again it was delicious my only output was the mere amount of ice that guaranteed it 10 times the amount! the service was excellent from the beginning, friendly, polite and not excessively cumsy or intrusive. it is not cheap night and could cost much more, but we will certainly be back on the basis of our experience."

Great family Sunday lunch again at this place which is just a little too far away for us to visit as often as we’d like. Excellent food and beverages and spot on service from lovely staff with good attitude. View menu

A couple of weeks ago we were in dire need of a decent Sunday Roast. Manchester was off limits due to the current state of rail-specific doom, so we headed towards the Ribble Valley for guaranteed beef based happiness.

My husband and I got a voucher of a friend which had four restaurants to choose from and we chose this one so happy with our choice and that we've found this...I've had the best Sunday dinner ever! My husband also said he's not eaten food that good in ages ...and we've been to quite a few restaurants in our time ...also I never get a desert but I've had room for one today and that was delicious too! We will defiantly be back soon! X

we went to Mother's Day and we were not disappointed. there were 11 of us and we had no complaints. eating was fantastic and hot. the bratbeef was the best I ever tried. credit to the chef and kitchen staff. our waiter for most of the time was a young guy named joe. he went beyond and beyond us. nothing was too much annoyed and he was very polite. he was credited to the team. my father was gluten-free and that was also no problem and was well maintained. will be safe again. well done with joe and the rest of the team. x

"Visited the cafe on a Sunday 14/05/23 after recommendations from friends who had been before. What a complete mess! Staff are so unorganised. There was literally 5 tables to serve so half of the cafe. The staff appeared clueless and looked like they were running round like headless chickens. After waiting for 15 minutes I asked a young girl if we could order and she said yes. Walked off told a older lady that we was ready to order. She replied I'm busy. A further 5 minutes we finally ordered. The food then arrived around 20 minutes later. Full of grease, sausages were had black crispy bits all over them, the bacon was like cutting into a brick. I went to cut it and it literally broke like a crisp. I don't mind crispy bacon but that was absolutely burnt to a crisp! I cut into the hash brown oil poured out and the whilst we was sat with our awful breakfast. The security alarm went off for over twenty minutes and all the staff were stood there gormless not having a clue how to turn it off including the owner! So poor service, dreadful breakfast, alarm going off for nearly half an hour and the most unorganised staff I have seen. To top it all off the bill was just short of £30 which is on the more expensive side for breakfast so I would expect food to good standard. Needless to say I won't be visiting again and I won't be recommending to anyone I know. Furthermore, a friend visited the same morning and rang us the day after to say it was the worst breakfast he'd ever had! So that's two lots of unhappy customers. Seriously need to sort your standards out because you definitely should not have a good rating on here. Anyone wanting a good breakfast go elsewhere!"
