"We chose this café to have breakfast having driven from Stoke today. My husband chose a cappuccino coffee and was told the machine was not working and only tea or filtered coffee was available. We ordered breakfast and a pot of tea. Whilst we were there, one customer took her coffee back as it was cold. Our pot of tea was tasteless. My husbands breakfast sausage was what he describes as cheap, and his bacon and toast was burnt. The meal consisted of a small piece of tomato, scrambled egg that was so dense he had to slice it to eat it. No butter came with his toast. When I asked foe some I was handed a small pot with a block of hard butter. The attitude of the staff was uncaring, unprofessional and not at all bothered about the customers. For a full English breakfast it was poor. I got the opinion that any complaint would have fallen on deaf ears."

The food at this restaurant was terrible, with cheap ingredients used for breakfast. It was not worth the price of $9.50, as the cake was stale and had mold on it. It was a total rip off.

Called in on a visit to Leek had the scone and a pot of tea. It was very nice BUT butter, jam and cream in little paper pots!!! Surely would be better to invest in small glass pots and better for the enviroment.Staff were friendly but service slow

Haven’t been in here for a few years definitely not the reasonably upmarket cafe it used to be. Young untrained staff, bacon cheese and oatcakes has a big gob of mild cheddar and half cooked bacon with white fat, most unpleasant. If they used better tastier cheese they would need less. Won’t be going here again in a rush.

The baguette used to make my egg mayonnaise sandwich looked as if it had never seen the inside of an oven. It also arrived with bacon in it, good job I'm not a vegetarian! The ice cream milkshake I ordered, didn't have any ice cream in it! My Other Half's was exactly the same, but he'd ordered chips, which credit where it's due, were edible. One to avoid. View menu

The food is expensive for the quality provided. I ordered a Coronation Chicken sandwich. What I actually got was a submarine roll with a smearing of Coronation Mayonnaise and dry, plain sliced chicken on it. Not what I would call Coronation Chicken! My mum had a cheese and tomato toastie, which was nice with plenty of filling. The “coleslaw” on the side was mainly chunks of red onion. A bit of a mixed experience overall.

Very disappointing! Me and my mum visited today.. ordered two jacket potatoes and a pot of tea! There was hardly any filling in the ‘microwaved’ baked potatoes and the salad was so small (with no dressing). The tea arrived in a stained stainless steel teapot that had seen better days… and we were charged £21.60 for the privilege! Sorry.. we will not be returning.. there are far better places in Leek to spend your money!!

I visited this restaurant on Saturday, May 27th, 2023. The weather was lovely so we sat outside. We ordered two cheese on toast (total of 4 slices), a traditional pasty, a tea, an Oasis drink, and a Fruit Shoot. The total bill came to just over £25.00. I was surprised by how expensive it was, especially since there was no garnish on the dishes. In fact, the cheese on toast was forgotten and we had to wait a long time for it to be prepared. There are better and more affordable cafes further up the road. I feel like I was overcharged, can someone please look into this? View menu

I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant. The tables were dirty and the chef seemed to only know how to use the microwave. The full breakfast I ordered was terrible - the bacon was hard and dry, the eggs were hard, and the sausages were cheap. Luckily, my bad experience served as a warning to the guests at the table next to me, and I was able to advise them not to eat there. The hash browns were so overcooked they were browner than David Dickinson! Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place for the sake of your own health. I paid £9.25 for a plate of unacceptable food.

i came in on the 10th of december and i ordered two sausage rolls and a cup of tea my order was taken by a young man although he seemed more interested in getting me sat down rather than talking too him. however the service from the young girl with brown hair was lovely and brought the food over in no time at all, absolute pleasure being served by her as we had a chat about all the different cakes they had on the day, she managed to talk me into trying their banana bread which i have to say was lovely. the food was spot on and the tea was brewed by a clear professional, i meant to leave the young girl a tip but forgot and when i went in a few days after she wasn’t working so if you could inf...
