"I am surprised about the many positive comments about this restaurant. Our chef must have had a bad day. It was the evening of Sunday Feb My wife and I had dinner; she had the EUR menu and I had the menu. We understand that the cheaper menu will use cheaper ingredients, but also these can still be tastefully prepared. Restaurant interior decoration is somewhat over the top, with lots of pinks, cheap blingbling and christmas accessories (Xmas was months ago). EUR Menu. Starter salad with prawn, sliced raw coquille and sliced salmon. Taste was bland. Plain green salad leafs with boring vinaigrette. Main course cod fillet baked on its skin, accompanied by vegetable julienne (carrot, courgette and some third veg) with creamy sauce. Cod was very nice but too salty for my taste. Vegs and sauce were bland, sauce had seen little cream. Cheese platter: small piece of camembert and neuchatel of cheap supermarket quality. Dessert crème brûlée: cold and completely tasteless calories. Sugar top was partly charred. I ate only two small spoonfuls and returned the remainder. My wifes dinner of comparable inferior flavour and quality. Yes we know that one should have fish in Tréport, but nevertheless the 'Fricassee volaille' (probably chicken) that my wife had should not be so extremely dry (overcooked). The lady host did her best to make us feel comfortable, but was rather quiet. As a compensation I suppose the male waiter was loud and outspoken, sometimes even close to rude. Overall mark out of which rates as 'unsatisfactory'. we will certainly return to Le Tréport, but not to this restaurant."

Me and my parents came yesterday and we loved the hospitality of the waiters and waitresses. Not only here to sell products but also to help find out new dishes. Thank you for that moment.

Just called in for a quiet drink. I had a glass of draught beer and my wife a bottle of orange juice. later, boy did I feel ripped off. I know France is expensive but that's a joke. Oh, did I mention...the decor, so OTT.... if you want a good time here take out a second mortgage.

Great view of the sea , in a busy road, the food was good . Lots of seafood and a bit pricey tho . I went for the moules and frites , which was ok , not too hot tho but very generous portion I...say . My friend went for the mix seafood which was ok . All cold and mix , fiddly to eat if you like that sort of things . The wine was great , but you would expect that , you are in France at the end . You should try it . You might get different experience tho

A great dinner for my wife and I at this lovely seafood restaurant. After an aperitif and an amuse bouche I started with large oysters, and Marian had scallops. Both starters perfect and the sauces spot on. We both then had Grilled Gambas ..perfectly cooked and served with excellent herby potatoes. Marian had a lovely creme brulee and I had normandy's finest cheeses, followed by coffee. We had a bottle of the Muscadet Sur Lie ideal for the meal, and all this at Great Meal and Great Value! At first sight, this restaurant looks odd due to the massive amount of decorations. But we always saw many people seemingly enjoying their diner so we gave it a shot. Luckily we did, because the service is very good and the food itself is fresh...and tasty. The amuse gueule was actually (in my opinion) the least of the entire dinner. Also, we brought a small dog, which wasn't an issue at all. They even spontaneously brought water for the dog. So overall, don't let the looks deceive you because the food is actually really good for the price you pay.

Ok, the photo`s i have are exactly the same as the ones submitted by other trippers, the service by "monsieur jacky" was exactly what we required, his english is perfect and there was no translation hiccup. The Sea food platter for served...on a tier stand was superb, i have never had the opportunity to eat so many different items in one sitting. If you are then it comes on tiers etc etc. The decor is a bit chintzy, but hey this is france and they make it work. The restaurant competes with several others on the quay side but for me ,all buttons were pushed.Thank you

A summer's evening in Le Tréport and a stroll along the water's edge from the very convenient campsite. What more could you ask? We were greatly looking forward to a typical seafood dinner and our main problem seemed to be choosing from so many restaurants...offering vary similar looking menus. Well, we chose Comptoirs de l'Océan and had a decent meal. I say decent because it was perfectly OK but not outstanding. The thing that made it memorable, however, was that the décor was pink and fluffy, just like a type of lady's boudoir. Service was friendly and efficient. Price pretty similar to most of the competition. View menu

Outside the restaurant I saw a menu offer for and went in. The outside menu is well hidden in a pile of other more expensive menus inside. Waitresses serve you with a forced smile and are not getting happier when you just order water...to drink. No coffee or dessert is not done in their eyes, a remark when other clients left. In my menu coffee was included so I ordered a "café crème". Oh oh oh what a mistake, only plain coffee is included so euro extra on the bill. And did I tell you already that the "fricassée de volaille" (chicken pastry) absolutely was made of chicken that has died of old age ? Paid too much for tasteless menu in a Barbie setting. I hope Ken gets better food.

We choose the euro menu. Starters were ok, fish soup melted goats cheese with honey. For the main course we both chose the salmon leek lasagna; large chunks of salmon but very dry, barely any leeks and no sign of béchamel sauce...and all very under seasoned. For sweet we chose chocolate mousse which was very runny, more like chocolate milk and not very tasty, secondly apple crumble, the dish was red hot, the sweet was ice cold, the crumble was more like old cake, very dry the apple was non existent. The Reisling wine we paid euros for which was way too expensive euro per bottle in the local supermarket). of the staff spent most of their time talking very loudly to other customers (obviously...
