"My brother took me for a surprise Birthday lunch at the Corn Mill Tea Room in Bainbridge and with the quality of lunch and service we received, I can see why this particular establishment gets so busy. (It was certainly busy over the weekend with walkers, cyclists and bikers). My brother treated me to the Wensleydale Cheese baguette with Raydale Preserve which came with a side salad and crisps. The Wensleydale and preserve perfectly complimented the baguette and the salad was fresh and tasty.Alongside this, I had a Speciality Latte with Ginger which served as a nice accompaniment. As it was my birthday, I decided to treat my brother to a cake. He had the Malteser Crunch Cake and I had the Yorkshire Cheese Tart which served as a nice round off for the meal. The service was friendly, warm and welcoming as the surroundings which was also a great place to relax.Given the Corn Mill Tea Room's location to places like Hawes, Askrigg and Hardraw alongside the wider Wensleydale villages such as Muker, Gunnerside and Reeth, it's the perfect place to recharge and relax."

A lovely little cafe in Reeth. We enjoyed home cooked food a lovely soup served, unusually, with cheese on toast which was just perfect.

Only bought a couple of things for takeout but both times the service was friendly and efficient, the ingredients great quality and the food yummy.

Found this cafe by chance as we were driving through the Dales. Had a lovely lunch sitting outside with a great view of the Dales. Staff were friendly and served very quickly.

This charming tea room in Bainbridge offers a lovely outdoor seating area where we enjoyed freshly made tea and cakes. The view over the village was beautiful, and the young waiter who served us was very helpful and polite.

After 3 nights of camping at nearby Marsett, we stopped by on our way home and indulged in a fantastic breakfast baguette with extra fried eggs and coffees. It was all freshly made and delicious, hitting the spot perfectly. The service was friendly and efficient. View menu

We frequented this charming tea room several times during our 4-night stay in Bainbridge. We enjoyed both dining in and getting takeout, and found the cakes and sandwiches to be of excellent quality. We felt reassured by the COVID safety measures in place. However, we were disappointed with the unfriendliness of some of the staff. It seemed like a busy environment, but the young boy working there was exceptionaly hardworking and pleasant.

Many thanks for such a fantastic spread of assorted sandwiches, quiches, cakes, tray bakes and scones (with strawberries and cream) that you provided for Mum's funeral tea at Sycamore Hall, Bainbridge on Friday afternoon. It was just perfect and Mum would have been delighted so many friends and relatives came to enjoy the sad occasion in her memory and were fed and watered so brilliantly by yourselves. Being in the WI she loved home made cakes and a proper afternoon tea. Your service was most attentive and efficient and we particularly appreciated being given carefully arranged platters of some leftovers, which we are continuing to enjoy at home now. You did Mum proud.

"We had booked with booking.com . On arrival we were told that we didn't get breakfast included and that it would be £15 a head. We accepted this although thought was pretty steep for breakfast in a pub.The first morning we were given a menu clearly stating that breakfasts were included with all accommodation. I ordered poached eggs with smoked salmon and the other two ordered a full English breakfast which included homemade black pudding. The breakfasts arrived ,one of my poached eggs was runny, the other hard. The English breakfasts had no black pudding on the plates and when queried we were told that the deliveries hadn't arrived. Doesn't homemade imply made on or near the premises and as the owner states he is a butcher by trade I would expect he had made the black pudding. No alternatives were offered and presentation was distinctly lacking , with the baked beans poured over the other items. The next day I risked the full breakfast with black pudding which was lovely. But again the others had badly cooked poached eggs. We were offered no fruit juice, cereal or even toast and marmalade. On leaving we discovered the pub was unmanned , despite poor mobile signal. The owner turned up after 15 minutes. The bill was handed over, charging us for seven breakfasts when we had six, it was adjusted after he asked if one of us had had two breakfast one day? He served and cooked them so should know the answer to that. We were also then overcharged for nine coffee when three coffees and two teas had been ordered. Having had a family B and small hotel in York I advised him that standards were not what I was used to. I spoke to someone who had also visited recently and she stated a member of staff had charged them £15 per head for their similar breakfast where we were charged the menu price. Exceptionally poor menu, inaccurate advise saying breakfast included then charging us and probably the worst breakfast I have eaten in similar accommodation."
