"I've been visiting Corvi's for a few years now and it's definitely my favourite chip shop. Really superb food cooked to order, with chips that taste as good as chips can. They're cooked the right way in a classic fryer and take me right back to how the chips tasted from my local chippie 50 years ago. Very friendly owners and staff and a place where I especially enjoy sitting in, for an excellent meal in a fantastic old style chip restaurant. I can't recommend Corvi's highly enough !"

A charming little fish and chip shop located in the center of Bo'ness, with friendly staff. We had heard good things about it before visiting and were excited to try their famous Broon Fish suppers, and they certainly lived up to the hype.

Just had a fish supper from Corvi’s and it was one of the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Everything was cooked fresh in front of you. Lovely polite staff, very friendly. I would recommend this restaurant/take away to everyone. Thank you Corvi’s for a great lunch.

This was my first time trying the fish and chips from this restaurant. The orders are prepared fresh on the spot, making each meal delicious. The chips were also excellent. I found them to be much better than what I've had at Golden Chip. My only wish is that they served Southern Fried Chicken as well. View menu

Corvi’s is such a delight! To read the history of the families ownership of the business for over a hundred years was brilliant. There can’t be many who could make such a claim to fame. We had a couple of fish suppers which were absolutely delicious, really I think it was the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!

Excellent fish and chips were had in this long term family business. It had such good reviews we gave it a try and were not disappointed. (In fact, much better than a recent visit to Anstruther! Thank you for the great service too. Warm, friendly, responsive staff. And the lovely Hippodrome Cinema is only a short walk away! View menu

Came through from Edinburgh to visit Kinniel Museum and go on the 1 history walk which was fab. Finished up in Boness and visited the Corvi for the first time. Welcomed with big smiles by all the staff, very tasty, hot food at a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend. We went early at 4.30 and glad we did as it got very busy only 30 minutes later, obviously very popular.

Corvi’s has been around since 1896 and there is a very good reason for this! It is the best fish and chip shop that I have ever come across. We regularly do the 40 mile round trip and it never disappoints. Everything is cooked fresh to order including the new menu additions of onion rings and battered mushrooms both of which are crispy and delicious. We always sit in but it also does takeaway.

"Horrendous attitude from one of the owners/family helpers called Lee. I would like to highlight that Sonia provided a professional customer service experience in comparison to Lee. Placed the order at arrived at When I called at to find out...what was happening, Sonia offered to phone the driver to find out the situation for me, which was good. Whilst waiting on Sonia phoning me back, I received a call from Lee asking me to tell her what the problem was, I explained her colleague was dealing with it she then went on to explain how busy they are, which is understandable and I understand the challenges businesses have at the moment, owning my own. But there was no apology. In fact Lee (who at this point I did not know was the owner/family helper until Sonia told me) went on to tell me it was my fault I ordered from Just eat as they had their own orders to fill first?? Eh hello? It doesn't matter how I place my order, I chose your business to order my dinner from!. Anyway I explained to her that I didn't like her tone of voice and felt she was being really aggressive with me. She asked me if I wanted to cancel my order,I said we have been waiting two hours, so we may as well wait, however she was very forceful and kept saying no I will cancel, I will cancel and then decided to put the phone down on me. I couldn't believe how I had been treated as a customer! Then Sonia kindly phoned back to apologise and I asked whoever that was, should not be in a customer role and I was shocked to be spoken to in that way. She then went on to inform me Lee is the owner/family helper! Shocking. Sonia asked for my details and explained she would let the other owner know what had happened. hours later, I've not heard a peep from the restaurant. So I've made the decision to leave a review after explaining to them, this is what I would do. After waiting over and a half hours and using them for the first time, the food was below average. The pakoras and rice was nice, however the chicken korma was inedible, it was stringy and chewy, the lamb bhuna sauce was nice, the lamb was fatty and chewy. So all that wait for pakora and rice and sauce. We won't be back! Horrendous way to speak and treat customers!"
